Appealing, comfortable house in a fascinating area.

This has been a most appealing house in which to enjoy a holiday. The main living room is spacious and airy, and furnished with style and panache. It opens on to a secluded terrace for al fresco dining. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need for cooking your own meals. It looks out on to a courtyard, which is shared with neighbours. Upstairs are large bedrooms with comfortable beds and splendid views across the compact town and into the Voges mountains and the nearby woods and their paths. We arrived by car which was parked safely close by. The SNCF railway station is a short walk away. The station is usually staffed; it has a generous service of trains to Colmar with convenient connections to Strasbourg and Basle. The friendly tourist office is located just beyond the marketplace. On our travels we saw deer but, alas, no storks. The towns and villages on the Wine Route are all exceptionally attractive. Ribeauville gets very busy with visitors. Hunawihr, Turckheim and Kayersberg are less given over to tourism. Eguisheim is also lovely and is the home of Wolfberger wines. Walking and driving in the forests and glade in the hills above Munster is a peaceful pleasure. It also brings home the enormous scale of lives lost in the First World War. This is a lovely area in which to spend time with so much to do that we only scratched the surface. We would be very happy to return next year to a house of quality and the fascinating area in which it is set.

Prachtig vakantiehuis in de Elzas!

Geweldig huis met veel ruimte, een fijn terras en een prachtig uitzicht. We zagen de ooievaars boven het stadje Munster zweven, een prachtig gezicht. Munster ligt op loopafstand van het huis.Je hebt het hele huis voor jezelf. Het is mooi ingericht en comfortabel. Alles wat je nodig hebt in een keuken is aanwezig. We hebben de eigenaren nog even getroffen, zeer vriendelijke mensen. Ook vooraf een prima instructie ontvangen, de communicatie was zeer goed.Wij bevelen een verblijf zeker aan! En we denken dat we zelf ook nog wel eens terug zullen komen. We hebben al in vele vakantiehuizen mogen verblijven, dit huis staat zéker in de top drie
