We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. 「I would like to have given the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel 5 stars. However, I have only given it 4 stars because the main hotel description on Expedia is inaccurate. It says "this hotel sits directly on a pebble beach....". It does not. It is situated about 3 minutes walk from the beach, 75 feet above sea level on the adjacent hillside. I pointed this error out to the receptionist, who agreed the description is incorrect. But it has not been changed.
