“Nice place overall - clean and well kept. Owners are nice and friendly. The bad part is the sleep situation. For the room we had, there was a very bright security light from the neighbouring property up the hill, and the light shone onto the thin curtains of our room, and when the tree branches moved inbetween it created quite a light show in our room. There was a 2nd security light in the garden right behind which would come on intermittently, it was very bright and lit up the whole room, this……

“Brilliant hotel. Spotlessly clean, ever so helpful and friendly staff. Best breakfast menu I've known as able to mix and match breakfast items from the menu. And when waiting for a taxi after having checked out, one of the staff who served breakfast offered me a small pot of tea whilst I was waiting. I will definitely stay at the Yeodale hotel again next time I travel to Barnstaple. ”

“A very warm welcome with great communication leading up to our stay. We used Exmoor House as a base to explore Exmoor and North Devon and really pleased to have stayed here. Breakfast was awesome and the little touches throughout the immaculate property (treats for our pooch; chocolates in the room etc) were wonderful.

“Moorlands is set in beautiful grounds with stunning views. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Lovely breakfast selection.
Our room was quite small but extremely clean.
Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.”
