“Very good location and parking lot, nice service from reception and hospitality:) very enjoy to stay here also the lovely traffic light with heart, very friendly city with free parking hours, really enjoy the night stay here ”
“In the middle of the main street in Akureri. Room is good but the shower space is small. Good price with a well furniture kitchen (oven is great!!). the bed is so comfortable. ”
“Great location and very near to church in Akureyri. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and should be the best I met in 2-week stay in Iceland. Rooms are normal in size, neat and tidy. Breakfast included in room charge though abit overpriced”
“There are two cottages in this hostel. We stayed at cottage Akur. It is extremely comfy and spacious with three rooms. There is laundry machine in the cottage so it helps a lot! Supermarket- Bonus is very close by.”
“Staff are generally nice and friendly, there is a bar downstairs which serves good food, many locals came for dinner so is quite vibrant if you would like to mingle with people from different counties. However the room does not include duvet which means you either have to rent one (1100 isk) or bring your own sleeping bag. You will have to bring your luggage upstairs too.”
“easy self-check in
the location is good, in the downtown area
it is clean and comfortable and the heating is good
bath water is hot enough and there is a simple kitchen
”

The bathroom however, was quite tight. The shower ledge takes up a lot of room even though the shower is very small. The ledge also had a decent size chunk out of it which was a big hazard when we had just woken up in the morning and weren’t used to our surroundings. ”
“We were disappointed, arrived in late evening and were supposed to stay 2 days but we immediately booked another hotel (K16 apartments) for the following night, which for a little more money gave us a much better experience.
The issues we encountered: no free parking close by, 2 flights of stairs to carry our suitcases up to the apt, very small studio with sofa bed which occupies a lot of space when opened, plus an heavy glass and metal coffee table which further reduces space, no bath towels……
