This property arranges transfers on behalf of the guest (surcharge) from Male International Airport to the property, which is 45 minutes away via seaplane. To guarantee transfers, guests must contact the property with their flight details at least 3 days before their expected arrival. Daily transfer service is offered by Trans Maldivian Airways/Maldivian Air Taxi between 9 AM and 3 PM. Guests arriving or departing outside of these hours are advised to book a local hotel room in Male or Hulhumale. The Baglioni is a beautiful resort of the highest standard, classy and elegant, truly 5 star. Maldivian paradise meets Italian Chic! We were very well looked after the minute we arrived at Male airport. Baglioni's private car came to collect us and took us to their own private lounge to wait for the sea plane. Sea plane to the island took around 45 minutes. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome by the team. Beautiful island. Great wifi coverage across the whole island (even on the beach). Child friendly resort with childrens club.
The pool bar had a discreetly positioned table tennis and table football for adults and children to use.
All 3 restaurants are amazing and of the highest standard.
Our beach villa was very spacious and the interior decor was chic. swimming pool was often used by our children, as was the sea.
Special thanks to Ambe for being an amazing ambassador for the resort. Nothing was too much trouble for him regarding customer care, and provided a true VIP guest experience - THANK YOU Ambe.
Ali who looked after us daily for breakfast and most evening meals, again is an asset to the Baglioni brand.
Maadh our room assistant who worked super hard to make sure our room and overall stay was as good as it could possibly be also for amusing our boys with his amazing towel creations (swan, crocodile, monkey...).
Also thanks to Suhail who insured we were checked in safely at the airport for our departure.

Nothing special , if you are not first time at Maldives . Very medium kitchen…
Tennis is good .
Can’t begin to describe the experience we had. Met at arrival at the airport by friendly bell boys who escorted us and luggage to seaplane terminal and the designated lounge. Greeted by staff on the jetty and by our guest relations officer Klaudia. She took extremely great care of us showing us the resort, answering to our every need and to all our questions. In general, service from all staff was exquisite.
We had the pool water villa which was nothing short of amazing. Clean, well maintained and with an amazing view. Restaurants in the area were great although the biweekly buffet nights were extremely overpriced (165$ p.p for buffet is not reasonable for what you get…). I would skip the buffets.
We went jetskiing, snorkeling and kayaking which was all great. Snorkeling gear can be borrowed for free for the entire stay so no need to try to fit that into your suitcase;)
The only negative thing we have to say is that the resort has no recycling and everything seems to be imported from Italy, even bottles water. One would think things can be sourced locally for the environment’s and the local communities sake.
Baglioni Maldivea was truly everything we hoped for and I can’t recommend it enough. Also huge thanks to Klaudia for taking care of us!
