The staff at this hotel are super nice and welcoming! The rooms were clean and it was just perfect for one night stay. Its also in a great location where everything is walkable and there are buses running all the time. Great place! Would highly recommend for short stays. Room was exactly as pictured as well

No towels to start with. The room floor needed sweeping. The receptionist was very good on booking in, but she should have had more help. Breakfasts were very good.

€381 Bastion Hotel fury

Having travelled to watch Andre Reiu in Maastricht the Bastion Hotel had increased their usual nightly €69-€120 price to an eye watering €381. I was aware that hotel rooms were extremely hard to come by but I did not expect a dirty room, a bathroom with mould growing on the ceiling accompanied by a strong mould smell. The receptionist did nothing to rectify the situation and was in fact rude and just didn’t care. I am absolutely disgusted that at such a price the hotel was not even clean and the front of house staff’s attitude was just atrocious. The trip was supposed to be a Christmas treat after last years event was cancelled due to Covid, but instead the accommodation just ruined the whole trip. I cannot believe that the Bastion Hotel Is advertised as a 4 star hotel, I would not have even given it one star. It is morally wrong to charge such a price for such atrocious accommodation. The hotel was not fit for purpose & could even be seen as a health hazard for anyone staying long term or with any breathing issues. I am disgusted.

Kamer was bij aankomst stoffig en badkamer heeft heel de week naar ontlasting geroken vanuit het doucheputje. Bedienend personeel werkt zonder handschoenen en zijn luidruchtig en doen geen moeite om gedag te zeggen. Receptioniste kijkt niet op of om en als je wat vraagt dan krijg je een blik...niet voor herhaling vatbaar

First, we entered the hotel and it smelled of sewage. When I got to the room, there was a lot of dust on the floor (see photo). The bed wasn't properly made, and there was feces stuck to the windowpane behind it. There were black hairs on the bed and a moldy sandwich in the minibar. I tidied up a few things to keep my husband from getting angry. He had to park the car somewhere inaccessible due to roadworks, and this was already frustrating. When he got home, he went to take a shower, and the water wouldn't drain, and the entire shower was about 4 cm deep under water. See video. My husband then went to the reception to file a complaint, but he was told to contact you himself for a refund. You can imagine that our stay was no longer pleasant, even after being offered another room. We've had a hectic week and were looking for relaxation, and I hope you understand that we are very disappointed with the hotel's service and communication. This is unacceptable.

The staff was very friendly, clean room. What we didn't like was the sewer smell thought the room. Almost made you throw up. We asked for another room but nothing was available. Staff came and tried to clean out the drains and turn on the air conditioner. It helped a little, but the smell was in the room. We were not happy.

Hotel zelf kan wel eens een opknapbeurt van binnen gebruiken. Personeel deed goed zijn best en ontbijt was prima georganiseerd met volop keuze.

Hotel verdient maximaal 3 sterren. 1ste dag: Badkamer stonk en werd de douche put schoongemaakt. Wastafel was verstopt en op de 3de dag opgelost. Er was overal stof. Ook blonde haren op de spreid( ik ben brunette), gordijnen vol stof en miste een paar hakjes. 2de. dag: Föhn in de badkamer aangezet en begon te gloeien en ging van zelf uit. Kreeg nog eentje van de receptie. Airco werkte de eerste 20 min goed en daarna deed een flink geluid als een boormachine, na 1 minuut ging van zelf over. In meerdere kamers hetzelfde, ook midden in de nacht. Je kan andere gasten naast en boven je kamer horen doorspoelen en de reservoir bijvullen, de deuren dichtdoen en kindjes huilen uit andere kamers ook. Personeel is super vriendelijk en staan ze altijd voor je klaar om te helpen. Ontbijtbuffet had de keuze om een verse omelet voor je klaarmaken. De rest was gemiddeld. De prijs per persoon per kamer hoort bij een 4 sterren hotel maar de accomodaties zelf hoort bij 2-3 sterren.
