The beds and pillows were so comfortable I slept so good and it has a black out shade which was perfect. They do allow pets though I did think $50.00 a day was a bit outrageous. But other than that the place was really nice.

It’s a comfortable, clean, and well maintained hotel. The room temp is adjustable. There were lots of good options in the morning for breakfast. They don’t charge for parking or ask for a large deposit.

AVID- The staff at this hotel that checked me in charged my card FOUR times without my consent - totaling near $500!!! She did not know what she was doing. Every time I went to my room she had charged my card. I went to the front desk to get the charges removed and somehow - she charged me yet again. The next morning, I went to get the charges straight - they gave me a letter to take to my bank to remove (not all - but just some of) the charges. So now in a strange city - I am to find a bank - making it even more inconvenient. For my 2-night stay - I paid $500. Which they said some would fall off in 5-7 biz days. Still waiting for my refund. I was never compensated for my inconvenience from Manager April. Never did I receive a phone call. I will NEVER stay here again. Do not give these ppl your card. You will be sorry. And the breakfast is TERRIBLE. Not worth the trouble. Very disappointing stay. :(

Room 406: This is the area you want to stay in if you're staying in Macon. There's several hotels on this road and this is your best bet as far as safety goes. Customer service has been great. Extremely close to I-75. As for Avid, I had a great experience. Check-in was easy, there was a hiccup with the room and house keeping took care of it right away, which was amazing. I love the open space in the room. It's not cramped like other hotels. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and room is huge. The only thing is the TV sometimes shuts off for no reason, no microwave, and the shades do not block all the light. Water pressure and hot water in the shower was good. Not cozy, so sleep was so so. Other than that, Avid was a good choice and great value

There were hairs on the bed and in the bathroom on the sink and in the shower. The alarm was set (from a previous guest?) and woke me up. The alarm was also broken so the only way to turn it off was to unplug it. The plug was inaccessible behind the bed, so I stuffed it under a mattress while it continued to beep. The soap in the shower was empty, which of course I didn’t realize until my shower had already commenced.
