Family trip

This apartment is very centrally located and it is nice that it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s a hassle that you need to use a phone connected to data to enter as we had to pay for three phones to access data for the duration of our trip. An entry code would have been much better. The apartment is clean but very small for 4 people. The kitchen is very minimal and there is no table to eat. The front bedroom was very noisy at night and our kids had a very hard time sleeping.

The pictures shown in the ad were nicer than the unit. The unit had definitely been aged and worn since. The system for the locks to the street entrance were finicky and if someone was in the unit, and didn’t have an app- there was no way for them to exit the building (fire hazard?) Positive- location was central and very close to main attractions.

The apartment itself was convenient, but the door lock failure and management response made the stay untenable.The apartment door lock failed immediately after check-in. We were locked out for hours on the first night, sitting outside with no access to our belongings while technicians were called. Technicians were present until 12:30 am, yet the lock was never fixed. That entire evening of our vacation and family time in Madrid was lost.We were later explicitly instructed by the management company not to lock the apartment door, which is an admission that the unit could not be secured. To preempt a predictable deflection: an outer corridor door or being the only apartment on the floor does not replace a functional apartment door lock. Guests must be able to reliably enter and secure the actual unit they are renting.The next day, because the apartment could not be locked:•We missed an early morning train•Had to move our luggage to external storage•Lost a large portion of a planned day trip•Returned one night to find the apartment locked again after being told not to lock itVRBO handled the situation professionally and issued a partial refund. The property management company did not acknowledge responsibility, minimized the impact, and offered only minimal compensation despite the fact that both days in Madrid were consumed by technicians, bag repacking, storage fees, and itinerary losses.No one should book this.

Todo perfecto. Éramos 4 adultos y 2 niños y aunque el apartamento es pequeñito fue suficiente para nosotros. Los baños algo pequeños y estrechos también pero no fue un problema. A 1 minuto de callao y 3 minutos de sol. La habitación que tiene balcón que da a preciados, se oye un poquito el ruido de la calle sobre todo el fin de semana , pero nosotros llevamos tapones y dormimos muy bien. Recomendable
