Very nice location

It was a nice place. If you are with kids might not be a good idea, but if you are adults who want to explore and have fun It’s a great location.

Plaza Mayor

The location is amazing. Walking distance to all downtown venues and restaurants. It’s a 5 minute walk to plaza mayor. The complex does have an elevator, but you have to walk up one flight of stairs. Once you reach the 4th floor, one has to carry the luggage another short flight of stairs. Conserve hot water. Beds were comfortable. The main fridge and freezer were not operational, but they supplied a small fridge. We only stayed for one night. The 24 hour customer service was helpful.

Disgusting NOT Design Apartmemt

Smell of sewage was toxic and unbearable we couldn’t even stay more than a few hours and left to find a hotel. Manager acts like this is unheard of but I see another reviewer mentioned sewage smell as well. Plus I had to message them multiple times to get check in procedures day of check in. I wish I could attach my photos of the filthy baseboards as well as the bedroom shade with holes in it all torn and frayed as well. Oh and tv is not even size of a laptop screen. The location seemed good as it’s close to so much activity so that is only plus of this filthy dirty smelly toxic apartment.

Great location but noisy - could hear everything neighbor was saying! Sewer gas smell in bathroom

Good location but wouldn’t stay again. To noisy hearing neighbors and sewer has smell in bathroom was awful!

Fantastic location in Central Madrid

This is about as close as you can get to the center of everything in Madrid. Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol (metro), shopping and eating (including Chocolateria San Gines and Pastelería La Mallorquina) are all right there. Calle Cava Baja for tapas is a short walk away. Communications with the host are easy and timely and the apartment size is perfect for a small family or two couples. The apartment is on the 4th floor with lift access.

Very disappointing

During our 7-day stay the two TVs and the large refrigerator did not work. Management kept promising daily that they will come to check it, but they never came. The view was horrible. All we could see from the living room and from one bedroom window was a dark and dirty elevator shaft. Bedroom windows were missing blinds and there were extremely dirty windows curtains. The bedrooms did not have any dressers with drawers for clothing. From the toilet was coming a nauseating sewage smell. It is misleadingly advertised as Design Apartment in Plaza Mayor, but it is really located not in Plaza Mayor but at a side street called C. Postal.

Our stay was excellent at this property. I absolutely loved it! I have never stayed at a place where there wasn’t a front desk, but the communication was clear and the online check in and door code instructions also very clear. (I had to convert all communication to English as it was all in Spanish). The apartment was as described. There were two bedrooms. The one facing the street is loud (it is in the heart of the old town and people stay up late). The bedroom in the back is very quiet and has its own ensuite bathroom. 2 separate bathrooms and 2 separate bedrooms altogether. They provided lots of towels. There is a washing machine but no detergent. I would suggest for the host to give one or two detergent pods. There is also a coffee machine but no pods for it. I would also recommend the host provides a few coffee pods. There was a tiny dish soap to wash dishes and a sponge. There was a bit of a smell in one of the bathrooms. We left the window open which eliminated the smell. The location was more than perfect. We walked everywhere. Best of all the San Miguel Market was so close, awesome tapas.

El fepartamento es amolio limpio y bonito solo q cuando llegas debes ventilarlo bien ya q tiene un olor como a encierro o drenaje, pero si lo ventilas un rato y mantienes el baño cerrado no hay mayor problema y la ubicacion es perfecta
