"The hotel was in a great position in central Madrid within walking distance of several of the main attractions for example, just a few minutes from the Royal Palace and the Opera House. The hotel is recently opened and the rooms were in excellent condition. These were clean, of a reasonable size and with a good size bathroom - all in all, quite functional. The rooftop pool was the star attraction for us although be warned that the Madrid sun shows no mercy and sun block is a must. Breakfast was more than adequate for the price."

Hotel Chamartin The One

"A highly convenient hotel for our one night stay before taking high speed train to Northern Spain. The main rail station is undergoing extensive renovations but the hotel is operating as usual. We ate at the restaurant with both menu of the day or normal menu available. Service was quick and food was nice too. Breakfast served in same area the next day and plenty of food choice to cater for differing tastes. Hotel room was comfortable and clean."

"We were initially given a small room with poor quality mattresses. We complained to the staff at reception and the gentleman (do not have a name) working the front desk on the morning of June 4 was very receptive and helpful. He listened to us and offered to bring up new mattresses or move us to another room. We moved, and the new room was fabulous with comfortable beds. We appreciated his assistance and excellent customer service."
