Bungalow in Mahina, Ahonu Valley

In the north of the island of Tahiti, 12.5 km from Papeete, in the Ahonu valley, 500 meters from the beach, this friendly 58 m² bungalow is located in a quiet area on private property. The 12 m² covered terrace is very pleasant. The pool is shared with the owners. We don't see the sea or the lagoon, but we can get there on foot ... Several surf beaches are nearby.
We provide transfers to the airport or the ferry terminal.
Mahina town center is 2 km away, Pointe Venus is 4 km away.

Beautiful villa with all you need and a swimming pool. Just 10 minutes from the black sand beach with a lot of people surfing or just relaxing in the beach. Two rooms with A/C and believe me you need A/C. There is a Chinese restaurant just 5 minutes walking distance from the villa. Grocery shopping just 5 minutes drive.Our host Serge was very kind. Easy check-in and easy check-out. We will return again when in Tahiti. Thank you so much Serge for letting us check out late.

Loved our stay

Calm and peaceful stay at the cottage nestled in Mahina valley. Nice pool to swim and play in. Located along a calm stream. Loved listening to the rain at night, and the stream during the day. Serge was a gracious and accommodating host, who we enjoyed meeting. Would love to come back again!

Private and Convenient

This property was clean and comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood just a short distance off the main road, close to public beaches. We arrived on the island early in the morning, and the hosts allowed us to check in early. They also gifted us a bottle of wine, knowing we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We used the bungalow mainly for sleeping and showering, as we were gone most of the day, but we did have breakfast in the mornings and snacks at night. The kitchen was fine for that.We would recommend this property to anyone with a car who wanted a base from which to explore the island.

Un très bel endroit, dans un environnement naturel et calme.

Petit bungalow dans la vallée, à 3 min des plages et spots de surf, sur la belle côte Est. Serge et sa compagne nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup d'attention et de bienveillance. Le lieu est calme et très bien entretenu dans un beau jardin fleuri avec piscine. Un petit coin de paradis !

Hard to Find, But Very Well Worth It

This property is quite difficult to find, being a few blocks off the main road via an unmarked and potholed road followed by a barely traversable lane. But the place itself is virtually perfect: A large, modern bungalow with top-notch furnishings and facilities -- plus a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. And the host couple are wonderfully gracious people who willingly saw to our every need, even providing a gourmet-quality grilled lobster luncheon on Sunday. Should we ever travel to Tahiti again, we would gladly lodge with them.
