“Outstanding location , with breathtaking views of Umbria from atop of the hill on which the small town of Bettona is located . During the 13th and 14th centuries the hotel was a hospital and an orphanage . Wasn’t thrilled with the restaurant , but that of course is a matter of taste. All in all , I enjoyed the 3 night stay , using it as a base to visit Perugia (30 minutes drive) and Assisi (also 30 minutes).
Just plan the parking locations near the major sights , otherwise , it’s an arduous……

“The reception and service staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. The rooms are clean and very spacious. I was delighted to learn that Pope Saint John Paul II slept in this place when it was still a religious site.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not for you. If you want a place that is clean, comfortable and offers peace and tranquility near Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, … this place is perfect!
