Notably, Malindi is a fully fledged commercial centre:
It is well served by direct flights from:
JKIA airport or Wilson airport in Nairobi, sometimes by connection from Nairobi via Mombasa (Moi intl Airport).

The train, popularly known as the SGR will take you from Nairobi to Mombasa/ Miritini, where you easily connect to Malindi using some comfortable and reliable shuttles. (This mode of travel is highly recommended after the air travel).

There are also overnight buses direct from Nairobi to Malindi.
