"The property itself was clean and well supplied. The view was spectacular and everything we expected. The major problem is that the room has zero air conditioning. When we arrived it was like walking into an oven. The only option were portable room fans. It was 80 degrees outside and felt like 90+ inside. Opening all the windows and front door into the hall didn’t help. The top floor had no AC running, we thought we could hijack some of the hall air but there was nothing to be had. Unfortunately...

"Amazing location! Very real old time feel. In fact, we had a cabin on Twin Lakes 65 years ago and Tamarack Lodge was part of my early memory. Loved the live music and breakfast was good. Room was fun, but the bed wasn't the best. The floor was slanted and so were we! Not overly concerned do to the nature of the lodge. Don't get the" resort fee" as there are really no amenities, but it's the latest insult to travelers."

8/10 Good
"This hotel is a bit older, but it is the only one we’ve stayed in in Mammoth that had AC. Was wonderful. Bed was comfortable, TV worked great, they had a grab and go breakfast, coffee and my wife’s favorite thing, a filtered water dispenser with big ice machine. They also made the room EVERYDAY! Haven’t had that since Covid. Staff was super nice and there’s a restaurant on property that smelled delicious, but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Only a couple of things that could be better. The place, especially our room, could use new carpet. Could use more parking. With the restaurant, there were a couple nights we got the last spot. Also, there’s a bear that likes to hang around and broke into a car one night and got into a trash can by the jacuzzi. Not sure what they can so about that though. There’s no elevator, but stairs are wide. Oh, was nice using the jacuzzi after a long day of fishing. Will definitely stay here again."
