The walk back to the condo (going slightly downhill) was much easier. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was easy to access. Very comfortable for a family of four. We had a light that wasn't working and the property manager responded very quickly to fix the issue.

It was clean, and the location was good. There were a couple of downsides. The condo had no air conditioning. It didn't get too hot, but a bit warm during the day. Also, if you stay on the first floor, where we were, there was no elevator from the condo floor to the parking garage, so you had to lug all your stuff up stairs and through corridors.

The condo has all you need for a small family/couple to spend a few days with easy access to Mammoth Mt. Basic kitchen necessities and bedding provided, covered parking, although the condo is definitely in need of some updating (peeling paint, stains etc) it is very clean. This condo could jump up significantly with just a few minor improvements but for what we need for a ski getaway as a family with kids and a pup, it works out great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo in the summit was in a great location outside of town. The condo was clean but needs some maintenance as far as cleaning the carpet and painting. I accommodated 2 people and a dog very well and everything worked that we used. It had an elevator which was very helpful for our older dog. The management company was very easy to work with and helpful.

Reviewer Comments: The condo is not super fancy but the sleeping arrangements were great. My husband has a bad back so he needs to switch around throughout the night. He had the option of a recliner, the comfortable couch, and the comfortable bed. We also appreciated that there was a an extra bathroom at the sauna which helped when all four us needed to get up and going in the morning. Having a kitchen was perfect since all of the restaurants were so crowded and the kids were STARVING after a long day on the slopes. So, not fancy, but met all of our needs (and we have lots of needs). ;)

Very cozy, clean and well supplied

My kids didn't understand the kitschy country, but they loved the bunk beds, tv and wifi! Very convenient to skiing and we appreciated the small but well appointed kitchen. Sent my family off with a good breakfast and stayed behind to work on the wifi myself. Plenty of blankets, towels, etc. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This was our 1st VRBO and i was nervous but I have to say it was better than I expected. This place had a clogged tub but they quickly offered us another unit upon check in. We looked at both and when i saw this unit, i was impressed with the sizes of the bunk beds. We stayed at the other unit bcuz w didn’t have a dog and passed on the clogged tub. The other unit was wonderful — all the same building, location was very convenient to eagle lodge.

It was clean, but sheets and furniture had some stains.

The DVD player also has 3 DVDs in the drawer. We figured out we could load out of the main garage and use the elevator when we left, but that would be dependent on the occupancy of the garage. The only minor problem was that the bathroom ceiling was failing due to what looked like a leak in the bathroom plumbing of the condo above.

Poor customer service with Mammoth Reservations

Condo wasn't ready when I checked in, the place was under stocked, only had 2 matches to start fire place, the fire wood was difficult to get to, on deck under packed snow. One heater didn't work properly. The bathroom shower curtain was moldy and no hand soap provided. Parking for this unit is in another building. I would prefer NOT to use Mammoth Reservation as point of contact, not helpful at all. The only nice thing about the unit, is the walking distance to the lift.

Severely Disappointed would not stay here again

Reviewer Comments: The condo was in disgusting condition the rug was stained all over. The restroom had black mold spots and the paint was cracked and pealing off the wall. The sink had a continuous leak that left yellow stains even after wiping it. The wall had random stains/marks on them the room air quality was awful super dusty, I check the vents with a flash light and they looked to not have been cleaned in ages, dust just clumped together on the vent fans. The comforter had weird crusty stains and the sheets were all torn up. Not going to stay here again this was gross and uncomfortable paying $1,064 was not worth it at all extremely displeased.

Nice Condo But Parking Garage Has A Problem

We were comfortable and cozy; extra blankets, pillows, etc. Kitchen is stocked well with cooking pans, utensils, and plates. We enjoyed our 6 night stay.It would be nice if a keyless entry lock was installed. We had to go to the Mammoth Reservations Office after hours to pick up a key and then return it on leaving. The owner should spend a little money on upgrades like this.The real problem is the parking garage which I discovered after we left. My truck was parcked in the A/B garage space 234 and the ceiling dripped hard water across the hood and cab roof. I thought it was just condensation from snow but after a car wash, there is a white crusty matter caked on. Snow melt does not contain hard water deposits like calcium or lime that had crusted onto my truck. I suspect there is some leak of hard water from a pipe in the garage ceiling or nearby. Mammoth Reservations contacted the HOA about my issue. Their response was that the HOA is not responsible for snow melt. So they just blew me off and did not even respond to a direct email. So neither the HOA or Mammoth Reservations will take any responsibility nor will they confirm they even inspected the space regarding the problem.The car wash manager told me the spots are due to hard water that contains calcium and other minerals. He sees this problem a lot from parking garages when there is a leaking pipe. Natural snow and snowmelt do not contain these minerals. I have been coming to Mammoth for 50 years and have never had snow leave deposits on my car paint.So I'm stuck with several hundred dollars to have the deposits cleaned off and the paint protection restored.It is a shame the HOA is unresponsive as they are allowing an issue like this to penalize the condo owner who should be furious with the HOA for ignoring a tenant.So enjoy your stay in the condo. The shuttle is just across the street from the condo and runs every 15:minutes during the winter season. Right on the Mammoth shuttle bus route to both the Eagle Lodge, or to Vons if you you need a few groceries and don’t want to drive. The hot tubs are great after a day of skiing too.
