Annual February trip

We travel each February to different places for a week. This villa was perfect for our group. Lots of space and areas we didn’t even use. The location is great . It’s very nice with access to the St. James club stuff and beaches and having use of the golf cart was perfect. Cherrin and Sorrel were very helpful and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again

Pleasant Stay in Antigua

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Alize. The villa was clean, and all of the beds were comfortable. The housekeeper, Cherry helped us with various tasks which made our stay more enjoyable. It was a wonderful week and we would not hesitate to return.

Memorable holiday

We had a lovely holiday in Villa Alize, with full access to St James’s Hotel facilities. We were a party of 9, all our family which included my parents. The owner was very accommodating with our requests and the management were very hands on. Cannot fault the accommodation, we are definitely returning.

Beautiful Hilltop Villa with glorious views

A great venue for a multi-generational family holiday. The villa is spacious and well equipped facilitating a great mix of restful time and enjoyment of the amenities at the St James Club below. Also close to English Harbour for food shopping and an excellent choice of restaurants. Thank you to Victoria for the comprehensive pre-holiday information provided and the loan of the car and buggy and to Cherry the housekeeper for a warm welcome and quickly responding to fix a minor issue. A super holiday enjoyed by all.

St James villa

A very enjoyable stay with friends for 15 days. Spacious accommodation and property well cared for by Sorrell and Cherrian. They were very responsive and any small problems we had were quickly resolved. Well situated to enjoy facilities at St James Club. Car and buggy definitely needed and much appreciated.

The Villa was the main character for my bday celebration!

Loved the villa! My friends and I had an amazing time. The villa was well kept and clean. Cherrian (the housekeeper) and her husband were so awesome and helpful. Victoria was very responsive and able to provide so much information about the villa, the resort and the surrounding areas (her welcome packet was super detailed). The space is well suited for a huge gathering with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. And the grounds! Immaculately kept and I loved exploring the grounds and taking pictures (even found a colony of hermit crabs on the grounds). 10/10 would recommend! I'd love to come back!

Villa is nicer than pictures

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is amazing. There were a couple of glitches like the TV in one of the bedrooms is a little outdated and didn't work very well and we had no water for about half an hour but someone came very quickly. but that is minor compared to how we enjoyed our stay. Meleesa the chef was good. Win-win all round.

Location, owner and manager five stars. Safe and comfortable one first places.

The villa is located in St. James Resort. We normaly don't like the resorts and also this one we didn't use it a lot, adults maybe one morning. The kids use the golf car offered by the owner, and they have nice time going up and down to the beach. Villa with 4 bedrooms in main house and also very nice bedroom in guest house, kitchen is good organized The outdoor its very nice with nice green garden. Swiming pool is small but good for morning and evening refreshments. We was happy with Villa for Caribian New Year 2022.

Amazing house in an amazing position

This is a big and spacious place - we were 10 and there was loads of room. Several outside sitting areas. Clean and comfortable. You can choose from four different dining areas! Or eat separately if that is what you want. There is a well equipped kitchen and a laundry room. The beds are comfortable. There are books and toys and games and table tennis and more. And that is before you look at what you can do at St James's Club. Tennis, pickle ball, pilates, gym, several swimming pools, films, quizzes and more. We had Melessa in to cook us a couple of proper Antiguan dinners - with some good tasty food we would not have had elsewhere.. Would we go back? You bet.

Wonderful Vacation Villa

Our family had a wonderful 10 day stay at Villa Alizé and would definitely stay there again. The Villa sits on top of a ridge within the St James Club and Resort within a beautifully lush tropical garden. The rooms are airy and spacious and nicely updated. The house was spotless. There are too many outdoor spaces/ patios/ tables to count. And there is a garden for herbs and vegetables. We did a combination of self catering and restaurant/ beach bar visits in the area. I would not recommend the food at the resort. We had dinner there on the first night because we had not been to the grocery store yet. It is expensive and not great. One night we hired a local chef to cook for us which was a great experience not only did we get to watch her cook we also had a great conversation with her and learned a lot about Antigua/Barbuda in the process. We opted to let the homeowner arrange transportation from the airport which worked out great. We also rented the optional car that is offered with the villa which is a must because otherwise you are stuck at the resort and you miss out on all the wonderful restaurants/ beach bars/ beaches on the island. The provided golf cart is handy to zip up and down the hill to and from the resort. Gym, tennis, pickle ball and non-motorized water sports are included. The two beaches at the resort are ok, one on the Atlantic side with waves (usually not very busy) and the other in the bay (very busy around New Years) with calm water and it is nice to have them close . However, other area beaches are much more attractive. The owners and their local housekeeper are very responsive both in the planning process and while we were there. If you like privacy but you also like the amenities the resort offers, this is the place to stay.

Great Stay

Had a great stay at the villa. We arrived at night so did not get to see how beautiful until the morning. House is in great shape. Wonderful views. Useful to have golf cart to drive down to resort. Used the owners rental vehicle to get around the island

The perfect setting

We came to Antigua for a week away from New England weather. There are 7 of us (5 adults and 2 teens). The rooms all had their own bathrooms and each room had a spectacular view. We were far enough away from the resort to feel like we were all alone and yet close enough to get to all the amenities with a short walk. The caretakers, Cherrian and Sorrel, were always available to help us. They were very attentive and responsive and jumped in whenever we needed them. The place is clean and has everything we needed from AC to kitchen utensils and TONS of space. The owners pay the resort fee so all we had to pay at the resort were the $5/day per person government tax ( and anything we billed to the villa). The beach is wonderful- quiet and clean and not crowded. And we had a golf cart in case we didn’t want to walk down the hill to the resort. The local restaurants are wonderful. Even with the intermittent rain showers (which generally lasted 10-15 min) the weather was breezy, sunny, and hot. Overall this was a wonderful location that fit our needs perfectly.

Tranquility in Tropical Paradise

Villa Alize was everything advertised and more! The location above the St James Club and near to English Harbour was ideal for our family. We had golfcart access to the beach, the watersports, the gym and the tennis courts. The views from the villa over Willoughby Bay are spectacular! Every morning started with French press coffee and sunrise over the bay. The grounds are a well kept tropical delight. The kitchen is very well appointed with the ability for al fresco or indoor dining. Try to avoid the overpriced restaurants at the resort and purchase provisions in St John's at the Epicurean grocery on arrival (Be sure to purchase jug water for drinking). The villa is recently renovated and all of the rooms were well appointed. Victoria, the owner/hostess, was easily accessable by email and a delight to deal with. The housekeepers, who are friendly, helpful, and reliable, can help with any local questions. We travel frequently and I give Villa Alize a big "thumbs up".

Awesome house!

Upon arriving at this beautiful house we were greeted by Cherry (and her husband had picked us up from the airport) who are the caretakers of this property. Cherry gave us the tour of this beautiful property. We were amazed by the size of the rooms. This is the largest house we have ever rented. It has beautiful views from every window, and all the patios, and balconies. They were so helpful in suggesting all the right restaurants, beaches and sights throughout the island. The house is so private with the benefit of the fabulous resort down the bottom of the hill. The resort has many pools, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, entertainment, fitness center, and all the water sports you could ever want. The owner Victoria was always a phone call or email away. I asked her prior to our trip if she had a car seat and a crib for my 3 yr old granddaughter. She did not and said she would go and buy them along with a high chair. They were perfect. We also rented their 7 passenger Nissan which was great. Also having their four passenger golf cart was fun for the trips down to the resort. I could go on and on. It was a great location!! I only wish I could give it 10 stars. Tom, Christine and family. February 2022.

Beautiful villa in stunning setting - The dream holiday home

Our stay at Villa Alize was perfection. The villa is absolutely beautiful, it has been done to a very high standard and in the most stunning setting with amazing sea views from every window. The villa owner was fantastic to communicate with and also provided some great recommendations for our time in Antigua. The housekeeper Cherry and her husband were also brilliant, very responsive if we had any queries or needed anything. With the villa being located within the St James Club resort, we had the added reassurance of security and also access to all the resort beaches and facilities. It’s also a great location on the island, perfect spot for exploring some of the many beautiful beaches. Highly recommend this villa to anyone considering it, you will not be disappointed. It’s amazing! 😍
