Comfortable home base for CA coast

I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend - we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Highlights were listening to the birds, the scent of the sweetgrass, a soak in the hot tub, and using this as a home base to explore the lovely coastal towns nearby. Jess left excellent and helpful instructions. We planned ahead for cooking on the induction burners/air fryer and the kitchen was pretty well appointed. We'd recommend a visit to Point Arena for two excellent bakeries - Franny's and Pelican Bread. Also highly recommend the coastal hike along the Stornetta Public Lands/Point Arena lighthouse. We'd stay here again!

Suited Our Needs

After months of dealing with aging parents and angsty kids, my best friend and I needed a de-stress trip, and this rental was perfect for that. We loved the location, proximity to the beach, and the peace and quiet. The window seats were wonderful with plenty of light for reading and working on projects we brought. We were a little bummed that the fireplace didn't work, since it was quite chilly, but the heaters did a good job of warming us up. The beds were comfortable, the sheets soft, and everything we needed was provided. We stopped at Frannie's Bakery on our way home, and it definitely lived up to the owner's recommendation! Thank you so much.

Beach Getaway

The property is perfect, everything you need for a quiet getaway! Watch the sunset on a clean, private beach. Short drive to Elk for delicious food. Cook food at home, relax in the hot tub. The house was clean, the neighborhood was quiet. Thank you!

Comfortable stay

Great quiet spot to get away & relax

Very nice, quiet, comfortable property. Quaint, homie, and private. Perfect place to avoid crowds and noise especially for NYE for the family, including our dog.

Sisters' getaway

My sisters and I had the opportunity to spend some time away. We all love to cook. We did not understand from the listing that the kitchen did not have a regular stove and oven. There was equipment that functioned as such, but it wasn't equipment we were acquainted with and required us to adjust our recipes and figure out how it all worked. It was nice to have the cozy fireplace and views of the area.

Great place, very convenient

I loved the house. The only comment I would make and it is not a negative, just to let people be aware. The only bathroom is up about 5 stairs next to the kitchen and if you using the bathroom during the night, be aware that you need to navigate walking into the next room and walking up some stairs. But, the place if great and is very welcoming!

Fully appointed property!!

Everything was excellent and even better than described! Owner was attentive and accomodating; home was lovely with art and books and blankets and coffee grinder even!! Hot tub was hot!! Added touches in kitchen and bathroom were appreciated. Thank you!

This was the perfect weeklong getaway for me and my dogs. It's beautiful, quiet, and very peaceful. I like to leave town the week of the 4th in order to be able to sleep. We have too many people setting off fire crackers all week long. I came home feeling quite refreshed.

Beautiful Place, Beautiful Weather, 10/10.

My wife and I took my midwestern parents up to this rental for a couple of days and, man, did it really impress us! We loved how clean and cozy the place was and enjoyed our downtime relaxing in the living room by the fire and up on the rooftop lounging area, enjoying the heaters and the view. The really close proximity to Irish Beach made this all-the-better - the semi-private beach was windy while we were out there, but it was GORGEOUS and my entire family had a great time watching the waves crash into each the cliffs and each other. We REALLY enjoyed our stay and will definitely be a repeat customer the next time we’re wanting to stay in the area.
