Loved this place!

We loved this place. Our best short term rental to date! Very quiet and secluded in a forest-like setting but within walking distance of everything in Manzanita. Great outdoor decks.

Great Getaway!

The Fly Away Home was the perfect spot to enjoy a getaway in quaint Manzanita! We stayed with my brother and sister in law and it was perfect for dinners on the deck, movie and game nights, and everything in between. We will be back!!

Lovely home in the woods

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fly Away Home. There were four of us, so we appreciated having two bathrooms. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with an easy walk to town and beach. The only complaint we had was the mattress in the second bedroom was too soft, making it difficult to have a great night's sleep.

Awesome home and location

Nearly perfect all the way around, we would love to come back again! If I had to think of a way to improve, a slightly more stocked kitchen would be nice - tiny things like zip lock bags or hot sauce always comes in handy! We noticed one lightbulb out as well in the main lamp in the living room and swapped it with one of the bedroom desk bulbs we didnt need to use so FYI the bulb is sitting on the side table near the guest info.

Very enjoyable

Just a quick note. The bathroom hall shower is not intuitive unless you've traveled a lot; you wouldn't know to pull the ring down on the tub faucet. House is not minimally ADA compliant and should include that in discribtion. Tubs do not have a handle or rack close by for ease of tub entry and exit. We had a lovely stay. Loved the birds and back deck was a fun playground. Thanks for the nice stay.

A Lovely, Comfortable Beach House

We stayed at Fly Away Home in mid September and found it a perfect fit for us, an older couple, and our two adult children. We loved the looks of the place and found the open, communal parts of the house very comfortable for gathering. We all enjoyed being able to disappear to our private rooms at times. The kitchen is small but very thoughtfully appointed. We found all the tools, pans, and sharp knives we needed to prepare meals. We loved eating on the deck, which is nestled in forest. There is even a grill and small table under glass for the rainy season. The house is a few blocks from the ocean. We loved the walk, whether we cut over to the main street to window shop or walked through woodsy residential streets. A bonus for us was an outlet in the garage for charging our electric car. We will definitely try to stay at this property again.
