Spring Beach Days

This rental was adequate. Location was great. Manzanita & Nehalem beaches were fabulous. Hikes to Short Sand Beach & Neahkahnie Mountain were lush and memorable.

Roomy with everything you will need.

This is a great place to stay for a week or weekend getaway at the beach. There is plenty of room .The backyard overlooks a golf course and there’s a grill. The property is close to the beach for an easy walk and to the main area with shops and restaurants. There is a washer and dryer to wash away the sand from your clothes. It’s really nice.

Great stay on the 8th Green

If you are looking for a weekend getaway to Manzanita and need a place to stay. Look no further. This wonderful condo offers all the things you need to enjoy an amazing weekend at the Oregon coast. Convenient location with easy access to all that Manzanita offers. Perfect size for a weekend for two, clean, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely stay here on our me to visit.

Contented Stay

We’ve stayed here previously. We find it to be comfortable, close to everything and affordable. This is ‘old school’ Oregon coastal lodging. If you need fancy, plush and ESPPN, you can pay 3x more someplace else. Places like this are a dying breed at the coast.

6th hole not 8th hole on golf course

The back yard oversees the 6th green not the 8th as advertised. The view of the green is nice, it’s great to be near the golf course and just 5 blocks from the beach. It’s a relaxing stay

A great stay in Manzanita OR!

The condominium is very comfortable and accommodating. The photos and text description are 100% accurate. I really appreciate the cleanliness of this rental, too. Heating system works well and the kitchen is fully stocked. Quiet neighborhood is a huge plus for me. The location makes walking an easy choice for all things Manzanita!

Reasonable no frills

Fairly reasonable place with good location near Main Street. But there are a few pretty common amenities missing that I typically find at other rentals of this nature in Oregon and across the country, and which would not cost that much: in the kitchen only had some McCormick spices and salt and pepper. No veg oil (except for can of spray oil), no sugar, vinegar, condiments, etc. Also, the tv is only very basic cable, without a smart tv to stream anything. Also, a simple table on back patio, where there is a fairly pleasant verdant view of trees and golf green. Nor was there any kind of table inside that could have been moved outside while eating. Apparently there used to be a table but has since been removed. There are a few plastic chairs left. Could also use some brighter bulbs in the lamps, so bring your own if you are over …60? and want to see a little better! The above seem like no-brainers. Also recommend adding a long handled bristle dish brush. A sponge does not work well for many things, especially when hand washing dishes, which is what we always do.

dingy home in good location

PROS: -Dog friendly! They provided "dog sheets" which were great to cover furniture and put on the floor for doggy food messes. -Excellent location, can't beat it: off the beaten path enough that it’s quiet and peaceful, but 5 minute walk to the beach, and only 2 blocks off the main drag (Laneda Ave.) -Water gets very hot and very cold, good water pressure. -They provide tons of extra towels. -Nice back yard for lounging, bbq-ing or letting the dog out. The back yard overlooks the golf course. CONS: -This house does NOT have cable, as was advertised. There was a message saying the service needed to be renewed or updated. -The TV is very old and bad picture quality anyway. -Many lightbulbs were out or missing from sockets, and the lighting that did work was very dim. -Sliding screen door to the back yard doesn't slide and the screen is broken. -No cutting board in the kitchen and the stove heating element were smoking when we turned them on. -Pillows in the bedroom are very worn out, thinned out, and uncomfortable. -No blackout curtains in bedroom, and it stays very light in there. Hard to sleep. -Generally there could be many inexpensive quick updates to this place that would make a world of difference, but if the owner cared it would have been done by now. The only update has been the cost to rent it. In conclusion: there’s a reason it was the last place available in the entire manzanita vicinity this weekend. But if you want a quiet, well-located, dog-friendly, dingy little place without cable and bad lighting this is for you! We were grateful to get a place that we could bring our puppy and that didn’t completely break the bank, so it was ok for us this weekend, but I couldn’t help but look around and think how much better it could be with some simple and inexpensive updates.

A week at Manzanita.

The beach was great as was the weather. The duplex was nicely situated for access to the town and the beaches. The unit was quiet and we enjoyed watching the many golfers.

Until the description is updated to reflect NEW PILLOWS, I’d skip this place. It’s otherwise fine, nothing fancy, but decent pillows is just a simple thing to provide that I can’t understand why they wouldn’t.

Definitely an old building. Shower curtain rod is rusty and the back screen door doesn’t really close. Couch and bed were comfy and the tv in the living area worked. Cable only worked for one day and the dvd player had no remote so you have to manually do controls, which was ok for the most part. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work at all though. It’s close to town and the view onto the golf course was pretty. Overall it’s a good place to stay but definitely needs a lil help soon!

Good location, but that’s about it

The smoke alarm was going off, the front blinds have a cut in them so anyone can see in, the sink drips, the front door is almost impossible to open and close with the code, which is 10 digits. The company told me to check the lockbox out front, and there was no key, but I found one in the cabinet and even that was hard to use.
