Stone Beach Residence Adults Only Resort

"A very special spot. No other coastal hotel comes close to the views and the swimming experience. Set on a cliff with multiple levels to sunbathe and ladders with direct access to the Sea. Calm, crystal clear water. Heaven. Our room had 3 levels with a kitchen, clothes washer, balcony, and sea views. Clean with everything we needed. Went to local markets for our food and drinks. There is a bar that charged $20 for a beer and vodka drink. Sadly, the property is not cared for. The landscaping is essentially ignored. It must have been glorious in its early years. If you don't mind overgrown landscaping, this place is amazing."

"20 minutes walk from the sea front, 2 minutes walk to the bus stop for Sarandë, 2 minutes walk from a mini supermarket. Large room, large comfortable bed, aircon that works included in the price, good bathroom and shower, balcony with table chairs ash's a view, fridge, towels changed regularly. Has a unique lift that doesn't go to all floors so double check if you have a wheelchair etc. Nothing to complain about; perfectly adequate in all respects; would start again."

"The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely private beach. The room was very comfortable and looked very new. All of that was lovely and made for a really nice experience. However, this is not a 5-star hotel. The staff at the bar and restaurants are, with some exceptions, not very friendly or attentive. Most times I wanted to order something it was like begging for a favor. Even when the restaurant was empty, it was hard to get their attention. The worst part was the actual quality of what you get vs the price. All of the restaurants in the property are VERY expensive and the food/drinks are not very good. I understand most resorts like this charge a bit more, but I expected to at least get better quality for what I was paying for. Between 5-8pm you can only order snacks at the beach and everything is closed. I ordered a burger, which cost 20 euros (there’s nothing cheaper on the menu) and it was so bad I couldn’t eat it…it’s a shame because the place is truly beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The staff at the reception was also very friendly. Unfortunately, the rest of the service is just not up to the same standard of the rest of the hotel and it felt like a bit of a rip-off, to pay so much and not get the same value for money. The restaurants on the beach next to the hotel were much better and a third of the price :("

"Beautiful beachfront location in Himarë, crystal-clear water, and very friendly staff. The manager, front desk, and service team were all welcoming and pleasant. Unfortunately, the hotel itself feels quite dated and poorly maintained. Our room was very small, the shower leaked, some bathroom tiles were broken, and the oversized wooden platform around the bed made the already-small room feel even tighter. WiFi was also very poor and did not properly reach the second floor. Breakfast was disappointing, with some old-looking fruit and generally uninspiring food. The omelette station was not properly prepared and took about 30 minutes before they were ready to start cooking eggs. Food we ordered at the hotel beach club arrived cold and was tasteless. There were also many mosquitoes around the property. The beach and location are lovely, and the staff are kind, but the hotel needs much better upkeep, food quality, and attention to detail."

"I was genuinely confused by the mixed reviews, so wasn’t sure whether to book, but I’m so glad I did The hotel was conceptually fascinating and a surreal experience. The village is literally the hotel, this declining village was rescued and converted. The staff were incredible. I think my room was upgraded for free because I got a better room than the one I paid for. A great experience and amazing pool and spa! I did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on that."
