“Beautiful gardens and pool area. Despite being next to the road it was very peaceful. Good selection at Breakfast. There is only one coffee machine which could lead to queues at peak times. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Close to bus stop 23 and for 3 euros you can get to Skiathos town and the airport. Bus can be very busy at peak times. The walks through the forest to numerous beaches are beautiful. A few good restaurants all within walking distance if you don’t have a car or want……

“Beautiful room which I think had been recently renovated. Really well appointed kitchen and bathroom too that also seemed brand new. Lovely hostess (Eva?) Who made us feel very welcome . We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend although worth noting there are a lot of steps for anyone with mobility issues.”

“The hotel is situated on the side of a hill which offers great panoramic views across the bay. There are quite a number of steps if you are walking from the pool or bar and restaurant area so may not be suited with those with accessibility needs. We had a room which also included a shared pool with an adjoining appointment. The room itself was nice, It was clean and comfortable. The children were sleeping on the mezzanine above us which worked well however had caution younger children using……

“Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. When reported to the restaurant about the limited choice we were told that is all they’ve got - no attempt to address it or improve. In the end we ate……

“Giannis was excellent - could not have been more helpful. The room itself was beautiful, partner found the bed a little too firm but I thought it was perfect. Free minibar was a nice perk. I wish the pool hours were longer but I understand from a liability perspective. The vending machine in the lobby was an excellent touch. Room was kept lovely and clean! Location was perfectly central, delicious brunch was just steps away and the town centre was a few minutes out. I hope that we return to……

“We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. “Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town.”
