Disappointing communication but fabulous place and area

It makes me extremely sad to have to leave this negative review for what was actually a great holiday at a great place in a great location. However, the communication before, during and after our stay with all members of the Marbella holiday company has been appalling. I would absolutely hate anyone to book this place expecting more especially considering the price. During our stay, my husband sustained a head injury on the (very) low bridge over pool at the complex. I (a doctor) rushed to the apartment to look for the advertised first aid kit to help him until he reached hospital. I couldn't find it as there wasn't one. I reached out to concierge Jason at the time and did not get a response until a few days later when he communicated with me about something else altogether. After we checked out, he brought a new first aid kit to the property. After our flight was cancelled due to UK ATC issues , we extended our stay at the apartment. During this time Jason communicated swiftly which was appreciated. After paying for this the company sent me an incorrect receipt. We require a correct and accurate receipt for insurance purposes. I have contacted the company multiple times using multiple methods over the last few weeks and still not received this. This is delaying our insurance claim. I think basically this company are too busy for their own good. It's a shame because the property itself is great. Please bear in mind before booking!

Preis- Leistung ist nicht ganz passend

Die Anlage ist toll und sehr gut gepflegt, schöner Garten und tolle Pools (leider keiner beheizt). Da wir in der Nebensaison da waren hatten wir diese auch fast immer für uns alleine. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, die Restaurants dort sind sehr gut, allerdings auch teuer. Oberhalb der Anlage verläuft eine Autoschnellstraße, dort gibt es günstigere Restaurants. Außerdem findet man dort auch alles was man sonst noch braucht. Das Apartment ist schön, hell, großzügig, nur leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen, fehlendes, kaputtes wurde nicht ersetzt oder repariert bzw. teilweise provisorisch. Es werden mehrere Objekte in der Anlage angeboten. Wir hatten uns für dieses etwas teurere Apartment entschieden. Daher hätten wir erwartet, dass es besser in Schuss ist. z. B. gab es nur noch 8 Messer und 5 kleine Löffel für 6 Personen, nach dem Frühstück ist der Geschirrspüler ja nicht voll, so mussten diese Dinge oft von Hand gespült werden, auch Tassen und Gläser wären mehr schön gewesen. Teller sind ausreichend vorhanden, aber bei vielen waren Ecken abgebrochen. Töpfe und Pfannen waren neuwertig und in großer Menge vorhanden. Der Whirlpool war defekt. Wir „durften“ ihn benutzen indem wir die Hauptsicherung einlegen, aber da die Filtration per Zeitschaltuhr geregelt ist war uns das mit der Hygiene etwas zu unsicher und der Whirlpool ist zudem nicht beheizt. So haben wir ihn nicht benutzt. Aber auch da denke ich die Wohnung war vor unserer Ankunft 1 Woche leer und auch während unseres Aufenthalts von 2 Wochen wurde sich nicht darum gekümmert. Und dann noch viele Kleinigkeiten, wie defekte Glühbirnen, Terrassentür nicht verriegelbar, keine Sitzkissen für draußen (so saß man ganz schön tief), kein WLAN auf der Dachterrasse, die Schränke zum Teil etwas muffig…

Positive with drawbacks.

We had a lovely week at the property. The location is excellent for the beach and easy access to the surrounding area. The penthouse was very nice but def dated. There was tape holding blinds together and electrical faults with lamps, one of which was sorted the other not. The kitchen was small and not that well equipped. The bar b q was damaged and not clean when we arrived. Maybe the majority who stay eat out but as a family of 5 that was not possible every night. The restaurants in the surrounding area are pretty expensive. However if you travel in to Marbella the competition clearly forces the prices down. The urbanisation was 95% empty whilst we were there which was fine but it had the feeling of being on holiday in a post apocalyptic town. Once you got used to it the peace and quiet was pleasant. Looking out at the shuttered villas with drained hot tubs that had turned green wasn’t exactly what I expected. However that being said, the property was nice, the location good. You def need a car. The gardens were beautifully kept and the pools lovely but freezing. Jason our host was very good and the check in and check out very easy. I’m sure in peak season there would be a great vibe to the place but out of season it was definitely lacking energy.

Mooi appartement op een mooie locatie

Wij verbleven met ons gezin en ouders in dit appartement voor 10 dagen. Het appartement is centraal gelegen en zeer netjes, ruime parkeergelegenheid. We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad! Zeer prettige communicatie met agentschap.
