Comfortable 3 bd, 2 bath home on the river. 3 queen beds. Screened porch with propane fire pit. Open deck overlooking the river. Full kitchen. Grill on deck. Less than 2 miles to public boat landing on beautiful Lake James. Use of 2 kayaks. Close to many hiking trails. 2 miles to state park. Also, my wife is a chef that can cook your favorite dinner. Loved the river views from the proch

Excellent stay and lovely property. Wonderful place to join our family and friends for the weekend. The open floor plan was perfect for our needs. We loved playing board games on the covered porch and deck.

Cozy home and great location!

Great spot for hikers

The house was perfect, and every detail was thought of. We enjoyed your screened porch with a fire table. This is a great base point for hiking in and around Pisgah NF.

If you want a peaceful retreat then look no further! This is your spot! The house is perfectly clean and well appointed. My favorite spot for a morning cup of coffee was the screened in porch looking out at the river. Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend our time allotted there and had to leave early.

Peaceful place for sure!

Great place! Nice layout with view of the river. Loved the screened porch area and spent as much time there as anywhere! Very clean, comfortable beds, easy check in and the kayaks are a nice bonus! Definitely recommend if traveling to that area.

Labor Day Get away

We loved the House it was very comfortable and clean . The Screened in Porch was great . The House was very close to all the Attractions we wanted to visit along with many restaurants and Grocery stores .

Quiet Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our extended weekend in the peaceful little house on the river! We were able to access some hiking trails with a little drive. The kayaks at the property were an added bonus. Great screened in porch too!

Great location

This rental is in a great location! We were able to get to the Lake James Park in 15 minutes and it was about 10 minutes from downtown where there were stores and restaurants. It also had a great screened porch, where we spent the majority of our time when at the house.

Perfect Get-Away

This house was perfect! We had 5 adults and our dog with us and it did not feel cramped at all. We enjoyed cooking every night and breakfast. Kitchen was well equipped!We did a cold plunge in the lake too! Within a 45 minute drive to Asheville and waterfall hikes!We had a blast and intend to return!

Weekend getaway

Wish we had more time to stay. We didn’t have time to enjoy all of the amenities. Great place to stay, far enough away from neighbors to enjoy the quietness but close enough to town for shopping. Will definitely try and go back here in the fall.

Perfect Getaway

The house was new, clean and perfect for our family of 5. We stayed for 4 nights. The house was cozy but still had enough space and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Sitting in the screened porch with the river in the back was so peaceful. The host was very responsive and we really enjoyed our time here!

Nice Retreat!

Clean, comfortable, and nested right by the river. House had everything we needed, but we opted to use the fire pit overlooking the river to cookout and enjoy friends. Owner is friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!

Cute Cabin

The cabin was perfect for our stay. The host was very responsive. It was centrally located for us to visit the following: Biltmore Estate, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Mount Mitchell, Looking Glass Falls, Sliding Rock, Lake James, and Catawba Meadows Park. We also loved the screened in back porch. The kayaks were an added bonus that we were able to utilize.

Amazing River Hideaway

Amazing, beautiful, quiet, private cabin setting on the river by Lake James. Screened in deck overlooking the river kept the bugs away. Barton and Marsha were incredible host. HIGHLEY RECOMMEND Marsha's chef service. Her meals are super delicious and she delivers right to the cabin. Everything was so clean and well laid out!! We plan to come back!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Awesome CLEAN Vrbo. The location is exactly what I needed which was quite peaceful and secluded. We needed to get away and find tranquility. We spent most of our time lounging on the enclosed patio enjoying the fire table. The property has river access. Enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning. Lots to do nearby. Check out the Linville Caverns and Linville falls nearby. Awesome hiking. Host is extremely helpful and communicates promptly. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Will be back!
