Great weekend stay

We enjoyed staying at this property over the holiday - good location for going between Boone and the lake. Beautiful view. Bunk room was a little odd, but the bed on the landing was helpful. Drive from road was good and short with some steep incline (but paved).

We had a little hiccup getting into our cabin and there were some leafs covering the bottom step but the cabin was nice. We enjoyed our time spent on the back cabin and playing in the arcade room. It was also very spacious

We had some small hiccups but BRPR did everything they could remedy any issues. I would highly recommend renting from them.

Peaceful location

The house is beautiful and the view is miraculous. The tvs didn't work in the bedrooms. The front door code wasn't working, but we were able to get in through the garage. We saw a bear the first night there, which was really cool. I loved how quiet the neighborhood was.

Perfect getaway!

Porridge Pot was the perfect getaway for our family this Spring Break. The views from the back porch/yard are amazing. We filled our days with hiking local trails and came home to relax in the hot tub. Outdoor fire pit was perfect for s’mores and watching the sun go down. The game room features air hockey, Pac Man, Mortal Combat and a golf game. It was enjoyed by all members of our party both young and old. We could not figure out the heat in the game room so we just bundled up whenever we went in to play. Kitchen was well stocked with all basic essentials including a crock pot. The king bed in master bedroom was so comfy we slept great the entire stay. Our family would highly recommend staying at Porridge Pot and we hope to visit it again in the future. Also, the road once you enter the community is steep, but paved so be prepared. We had a FWD vehicle and it was fine, but we did not drive in inclement weather.
