"Hotel was generally nice, clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel did need some maintenance. And the sheets needed changing when we arrived. The maid service just left new sheets on the bed (they didn’t know we wanted them to make the bed). When the room was cleaned, they removed the used wash cloths, but neglected to leave fresh ones until we contacted the front desk, The biggest issue (because it could have been easily remedied) was the coffee shop staff who were less than helpful. At breakfast we were told they ran out of milk. It is a coffee shop. And a guest in the “dog friendly” hotel tried to place a Togo coffee order at the same coffee shop in the hotel while her little dog was on a leash. Basically they argued & said she couldn’t bring her dog in and they didn’t feel it would be hospitable to walk 15 feet to the entry (from the dog friendly hotel) to take her order. She left until I volunteered to held her dog leash (in the dog friendly hotel) while she walked the 15 feet to place her order. Then a man with a much larger dog just strolled in, ordered and sat down on the cafe with his dog. He apparently lied and said his dog was a service dog (no vest)-he does it all the time. “No problem “."

"Nice hotel. The building has an interesting history. They did a great job renovating the building/space. The hotel has a nice style. Much more interesting than most hotels. I’d like to stay here again. Everything was very clean. Great coffee at the coffee bar in the lobby. Old fashion elevator. I didn’t get a chance to go to the bar downstairs, but I would next time."

"The loft is neat and tidy. It has amenities and appliances that serve faithfully. It tucks away behind the main house, so it's quiet most of the day. The parking space is good for a sedan (we rented a 3 series) which we found backing in make sense (It could be challenging at first because it's uphill). The loft is a good place for a family of 3 to 4 without pet. It would be perfect if there is a little rice cooker but we managed to make some simple meals. A few pieces of the cookware should be discarded. We found two shiny ones, a pot and a pan, to cook with. The AC is very good to the point we found a bit cold setting at 75. Washer and dryer are big enough for the whole family. Walking distance to Brown University is manageable. There is also an internet TV which we prefer one that hooks to national channels instead. In conclusion, it worths the price tag."
