“The hotel wasn't even accepting reservations and Expedia booked me there. And I also paid a $9 insurance fee. Thankfully, I did not pay for my reservation in advance. I received no confirmation from the hotel or Expedia. The night before my departure, I looked for a confirmation and found nothing. “This was my second stay at The Latchis, and once again it was a great experience. The hotel is clean, the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and the location is incredibly convenient—especially for those of us coming up from New York on Amtrak.
One of my favorite things about staying here is the building itself. The Latchis has so much character and history, and it's a refreshing change from a typical chain hotel. It adds something special to the whole experience.

“The customer service alone here makes me want to stay here time and time again! Every single staff member I dealt with at the front desk and on the phone was so kind and extremely pleasant to deal with. As a solo traveler, this also gave me a feeling of safety which I truly appreciate. The rooms may be slightly outdated, but was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. The mattress was a bit softer than I prefer, but the A/C ran great and I slept like a baby all night with zero disturbance.……
