A peaceful retreat surrounded by greenery, where you can enjoy the pool and the home’s amenities in complete tranquility—come discover the charms of the Dordogne. Just 200 meters from Monpazier, you’ll step back into the Middle Ages and be close to numerous shops, villages, and sports and cultural activities that will ensure you have an excellent vacation.

    The Dordogne offers so many things to do and see that it’s hard to list them all.

    The castles of Biron, Beynac, Castelnaud, Le Lanquais, and Les Millandes (home of Josephine Baker) are just a few examples of sites worth exploring. The Lascaux Caves and other museums will delight those curious about prehistory.

    To miss out on the cuisine of the Périgord would be an affront to this region of distinctive local flavors.

    The village of Monpazier is one of the most beautiful bastides in France; it has retained its charm and medieval architecture, with a market held every Thursday—a tradition that has continued for 700 years. Excellent location, able to walk into Monpazier on quite lane. Very well equipped property and excellent parking. Sylvain very helpful good check in and check out and always responded promptly to any queries. The photos do not do it justice.

We stayed in this Gite last year for one week. The fact that we returned this year and stayed for two weeks shows what we think of it. Everything is there, where often in Gites you need to provide a lot of basic stuff yourself; kitchen roll, bin bags etc.During our second week the temperature was over 40 in the shade so the large kitchen fridge and the efficient outside fridge were greatly appreciated. The Gite is excellently placed for local walks and a stroll into Monpazier to eat. Highly recommended. We may be back next year.

Perfect home for 2 weeks in a fabulous location for exploring chateaus and caves.We had everything we needed with the bonus of the pool which was very much needed in the heat and the boys loved it. Walking into Monpazier daily to visit the Boulangerie was a happy routine.

Lovely house with private pool

Lovely house and base for exploring the area. House had everything we needed including for us adults - gas bbq and outside fridge for cold beers on the terrace but also kids enjoyed private pool.. 10 minute walk into Monpazier which is lovely little medieval town to explore with a few nice restaurants and a small supermarket. So much to do in the area but it was difficult to leave the pool and house each day! .. Would definitely come back!

Maison au calme à 2 pas de Monpazier

Nous avons apprécié le calme autour de la maison tout en ayant à 10 minutes à pied les commerces necessaires. Un petit défaut d entretien de la piscine constaté à notre arrivée mais cela a été vite réglé. La maison est agréable et permet de se reposer à distance raisonnable des principaux sites touristiques du département!

The photos of the house do not do it justice. Everything was better than we expected. All the little things we are used to taking when staying at a Gite were already there, and that made a real difference. The welcome was warm and charming, especially as we were there for an important wedding anniversary. We could not recommend the place more highly, and plan to return next year.

Fantastic stay

A really beautiful house, well furnished with comfortable beds and clean, functional bathrooms. Pool was a real winner especially with my 4 year old, we must have been in it at least 3 times a day. Outdoor BBQ facilities were great in a really idyllic location. As an english speaker with a really limited grasp of French, the property manager spoke perfect English and was so welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Great family holiday

Took wife, daughter and her friend. It was a long way from the nearest autoroute but a lovely drive through France. It took about 7 hours from Caen (will fly to Bergerac next time) The farmhouse was beautiful, clean and spacious. Comfy beds, well-catered kitchen, good WiFi. Nearby (1k walk) Monpazier had everything we needed, 2 x Boulangerie, v important, lots of bars, especially the Bier de la Bastide. The Michelin Star Edward I hotel and restaurant is worth every penny but don't bring young children there in my opinion. There are simpler and cheaper alternatives too. Sylvian, our greeter, was very good and contactable by whatsapp when needed.

Just Great!

Lovely location, well decorated and very clean. Small but very nice pool. Different terraces to use depending on wind and time of the day which was really great. Walking distance to the small town which is one of the best Bastilles we have seen. Great bakeries, butchers, small supermarkets, restaurants, bar,... just everything you want for a great holiday. And ... a very warm welcome and great service and suppport when we had questions. Top place, top location and very friendly welcome.
