We were welcomed very warmly and kindly although we arrived late and Armelle helped us with all that we needed, including the rental and application of bedsheets. "Lovely house, extremely well equipped and clean. Fantastic pool and hot tub. Andy and Uliana were very helpful but not intrusive. We ate at two restaurants in Meyrals which were very good, also Sunday lunch at Aberge Medieval in Audrix, about a 15 minute drive away, was outstanding. Highlight of the week for food was Dimitri cooking for us, it was delicious, plentiful and no more expensive than eating out. We can highly recommend Les Hirondelles!"

"When Mieke welcomed us, we felt immediately at home she couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and this continued through the week, checking on us and providing us with cooling fans, advice on places to see and anything else we needed. The property rustic with huge amount of character. It is in a very rural quiet setting but within an easy drive of places of interest in the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Would definitely recommend if traditional is what you are after."

"The property was ideal for us, great enclosed garden for our dog. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is quite rustic which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a dog. Very close to Sarlat which is beautiful . A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe."

In both the bedroom and the bathroom, these supprt beams took up room and were low enough for a tal person to need to stoop down to pass them.
