“We took aged parents and I hadn't picked up anywhere that lift went to first floor only. Room was comfortable. Front desk friendly and helpful. Breakfast good have been more geneous or perhaps those who went before had eaten all the croissants!”

“Mauvaise communication avec le propriétaire que j’ai dû relancer 3 fois et appeler pour obtenir ma facture. Peu professionnel, je me vois reprocher d’être passée pas Hotels.com et que c’est pour cela que la facture n’a pas été reçue malgré des sms de son épouse m’indiquant que la facture avait déjà été envoyée. Il aurait été pertinent de vérifier avant de me faire une réponse erronée, m’obligeant à les relancer, être ignorée et devoir les rappeler. On m’indique que cela ne fait que 10 jours mais……

“I had a weekend booked here with my daughter. While waiting to board Eurostar I received a message saying to call them regarding my booking. (Why didnt you ring me) anyway I rang and was told there is a problem with our room and we can't stay and there are no more rooms available and someone will call in 5 minutes. No one rang. We still boarded our train and went straight to the hotel and was greeted by lady who was not very helpful, I don't speak French, she didn't speak English so had to use……

“Poor welcome no explanation there was no lift so left us wandering around. Charged card overnight didn’t add anything at all so clearly broken but not out of order. Place was a mess on arrival there was a kids room behind reception, mess spilling out. Room was fine only complaint was very small towels for kids. Worst part was breakfast, couldn’t eat because of the amount of bar flies all over everything, plates were so dirty enough to turn your stomach off eating. Avoid!!”

“It’s a long time since I stopped at a Campanile so on my drive back from Italy to UK thought I would give it a try. The barracks style looked tired but was clean. The room decor was Spartan. The balconies in the accommodation block were very tired and full of smoker’s evidence. I had dinner and breakfast there and although the breakfast was basic, it really was fresh and wholesome. The dinner was ok and half the price of the hotel the night before but hardly French quality cuisine and in……
