Looking over the main square and out to the sea, it is literally the center of the action --- but after 10:00 pm., you could hear only the surf, as a cat walks across the square. By noon, there are more people in Vernazza than there are in Times Square -- get out of town and go for a hike. Great restaurants nearby.”

“I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel il Nido. The views of the ocean were stunning from the restaurant at the hotel and from sunning deck, which were just down some steps as you head down toward the beach. The beach is small and only accessible when it is low tide, but the views are stunning. The rooms were nice and clean and the views from our hotel room were nice. You could see the ocean but there were electrical wires that were in the way of the view. If you are driving a car,……
