A good hotel in a really beautiful setting. Good quality food in restaurant at a sensible price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Additional bonus of a geothermally heated olympic size outdoor pool. Easy on-site free parking.

The location was nice and the staff was friendly, but the rooms were dingy and in need of repair. The pool is only for 18 and up so that was a miscommunication that would have prompted us to stay elsewhere that been clear from the description.

Considering this was supposed to be a 4 star Radisson hotel, we were bitterley disappointed, the bed had springs that dug into your back, the sink in the bathroom was chipped and cracked, food overpriced, the sash window wouldnt open, water marks on the wall as well as a large crack down the wall, very very poor, the pool is always laned off and you have to wear a swim cap, not thequality id expect, we left after one night

It’s a cheap hotel so you can’t expect much. The staff do their best with limited means. Don’t eat at the restaurant- it’s all frozen meals and microwaves. The front desk are helpful and the waiting staff doing all they can for you. The swimming pool is just that so don’t get your hopes up.

We love visiting this unique hotel. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The lido is spectacular. Our annexe room is spacious and has a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The addition of a fridge in the room was very welcome.

Enjoyed a stay for 2 nights in this hotel. The room was clean and bright, the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good with the usual range of food available. We stayed on 2 of the hottest days of the year, so the pool provided a welcome cool down. I chose a superior room and was glad I had, as there was enough room for us including the dog and 2 windows to try & let some air through. The bathroom was a bit of a challenge having the sun all day and no opening window but am sure on a day that wasn’t 32 degrees this would not be a problem.

Look beyond carpets that need replacing & corridor decor in the rear of the hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms new, main entrance, reception & lounge were clean & renovated. Set in beautiful grounds, luscious greenery around excellent location, so close to Gulliver's Kingdom, very courteous & friendly staff, good enough selection for vegetarians at breakfast. As a family of 4, we loved it!

Management excellent - as were all the staff. Listed building and would benefit from some TLC as we had expected, but we were allocated a lovely room and had a great stay. Housekeeping standards not amazing - but bins emptied and water replaced. The bar area and lounge/restaurant lovely but the standards dip a little as you head upstairs to the room - just small things like the hand rails grubby. Food wise, we only ordered a pizza (which was clearly a frozen Iceland style pizza) so not the best and breakfast was a little disappointing but fine for what we needed. Lido is gorgeous and grounds well kept. Rooms hot, but we were kindly provided with a fan. Overall, a pleasant stay in a great location.
