"This hotel was just a couple of blocks walking distance from the train station, which is one of the reasons I chose it. It was super easy to do our daily excursions with being so close to the train station. We stayed in a family suite.It was quite spacious and had every amenity we needed. I loved how the rooms had all of the toiletries included.So we didn't have to call down to the front desk.If we forgot anything. Our room was overlooking the mountain and the river next to the hotel which was great although the double doors to the balcony were through the bathroom, which was a little odd. The breakfast each day had many wonderful items to choose from including asian food which we love. I also loved the selection of teas that were available. There is a fabulous italian restaurant in town called Sapori, you will not be disappointed if you eat there! They have awesome Woodfired pizzas, as well as great pastas."

"This was without a doubt our favorite stay in Switzerland. Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald is simply amazing—the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the location are all outstanding. Waking up to those stunning mountains felt like waking up in heaven—an experience that fills you with gratitude. We will always remember our stay here and cannot wait to return. "We really enjoyed our stay at Balmers! While I would say this place is for a younger crowd, I think there is something for everyone! They have nightly events (Trivia, sunset outings, movies, etc) and are located in a great location central to everything you could need! "
