Great experience

Cute cabin. Quiet and peaceful setting. Didn't see another person while we were there. Very close to Squire Boone Caverns and less than an hour from Marengo.

Cabin was in a nice location, quiet and peaceful. I gave it overall 3 stars the reason for this was due to the amount of responsibility they put on guest such as taking off your own sheets, driving your own trash down the road and to the trash cans. There was not enough towels for guest, lack of communication, no mountain view which was stated in write up and you were not allowed to walk into the wooded area around the cabins.

Overall, nice but lacking

The cabin is generally nice. It looks like it hasn't been used much recently. The kitchenette was extremely small but works if you're not wanting to fix much while there. My biggest complaint was the lack of cleanliness. It looked okay when you first entered, though I did have to remove a wasp nest from the front and back doors. If you looked a little closer, the place was dusty, and there were old spider webs in the corners of the bedroom and bathroom. The worst part was mouse droppings in the drawer with the kitchen utensils. If I'm paying a cleaning fee, my expectation is for the place to be clean. There should be no reason a guest has to check for cleanliness and wash kitchen items before they can be used. Would I return? Maybe, but only after confirming the place was actually ready for guests. We did also have a small issue with the oven, and the host was prompt in responding and addressing that issue.

Scenic Cabin

The cabin is in a very pretty and tranquil setting. The beds are comfortable. Phone service was sketchy. I have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this was the first that was what I think of as "bare-boned". Don't expect any amenities that aren't listed such as guest soap and shampoo or even salt and pepper. In other words, there wasn't any special effort to make us feel welcome. Also, the place could use a good cleaning. The owners were very timely at sending check in information without having to request it and I appreciated that very much.

Relaxing

Cabin was a treat, good space between the 3 cabins, quiet and pleasant, park style grill and a rack for cooking over the fire pit, the neighbors in cabin 1 were quiet and we enjoyed the area, we are definitely planning on staying here again,

Beware if you suffer from Ophidiophobia!!!

I’ll start by saying this property is charming if you love the great outdoors. I’d planned a last minute trip to visit family that lives nearby and the PGA was in town, so this was the only place I could find to stay. The reviews were good and I’ve been to the Great Smoky Mountains so I thought the cabin would be like that, right? Wrong!!! It’s much more primitive than anything I’ve ever seen but the kicker was when we found a 10 foot snake skin over the back door just as it was getting dark on our first night there. Needless to say, I slept in my car for my stay:))

Amazing stay!

This cabin was exactly what we needed. We came to the area for archery championships, but wanted something to get away and detach from the world. This cabin doesn’t have the best reception but other than that was amazing! The kitchen is small, but was perfect cause that means I didn’t have to be in the kitchen helping! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway! This is the place! 5 stars, would recommend!

Beautiful area

The place was nasty. Cobwebs everywhere, ceiling fan was caked in dust. The floors were dirty and then they charge you a cleaning fee and want you to clean everything. Will never be back

Family reunion stay

The cabin was in a great location for a Kentucky family reunion. The cabin was clean and we felt very safe…We saw deer and wild turkeys from the cabin. We would definitely stay again!

Girls’ Trip

Had an amazing time at this cabin! Very near all of the caves me and my friend wanted to explore. It was amazing to get away from the noise of traffic and just enjoy nature!

Lighting.

It needs brighter lighting, especially in the master bedroom and over the kitchen table. The drain plug in the kitchen sink needs replaced if you want us to wash all used dishes. The stop kept coming apart. Other than that the stay was good. I had requested cabin one a while back and by the time you got back to is, our stay was over. Kind of pointless.
