There was a lovely wine shop/bar on the top of the main street. Very friendly staff, great selection (for a small village) at a very good price point.

I highly recommend staying in this fabulous hotel!! Travelling by myself as a woman can be a bit scary but with their security to get to the rooms I felt at ease. Maynooth is a small, but relatively lively university town, about 30km west of Dublin, with relatively easy rail access (45 minutes) into the capital.
