Welcome to Château du Jonquier: Discover this very private paradise in the heart of Provence. Our baroque gem is nestled within a 5-hectare park with mature trees, yet it's part of a medieval market town. The property also features a new 12 x 6-meter vitality pool with a paved terrace, olive and cypress trees, and 5/6 air-conditioned bedrooms/suites with modern marble bathrooms.
Modern comforts within historic walls: Château du Jonquier is not a hotel, but the home of an international bestselling author and a tech entrepreneur.
It is being offered for rent for the very first time.
Be our guest: Spend an unforgettable holiday with friends and family. Located in a medieval market town with numerous shops, cafés, and restaurants, the château sits at the foot of the mythical Mont Ventoux. It's easily accessible: 1 hour from Marseille Airport, 25 minutes from Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The château offers 550 m² of living space: The spacious ground floor comprises a huge country-style kitchen with south-facing French doors – the room is flooded with Provençal light. Help yourself to produce from our vegetable garden and cook everything your heart desires. Beneath a large arch in the 2-meter-thick wall, you'll find a formal dining room with a huge, rustic fireplace that seats 14. Cross the landing and admire the magnificent granite staircase that forms the central axis of the house. From there, you enter the grand salon with its elegant fireplace and comfortable sofas for relaxation. Beyond this is the garden gallery, complete with a grand piano and views of the park.
On the first floor, there are three air-conditioned rooms and suites with varying layouts and comfortable beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom, as well as two air-conditioned bedrooms that share a bathroom and a separate toilet. The last room is connected to the master suite and offers a comfortable sofa bed, making it ideal for families. Each room has a desk and is furnished with a special blend of modern classics and vintage Provençal furniture, as well as upholstered furniture and curtains in the finest silks – Pierre Frey, Zoffany, and Lelievre Paris. Five bedrooms face south towards the English Garden, while the sixth overlooks the historic park beyond, which is part of the 5-hectare grounds.
