"It is an older building, room needed updating and the elevator was old and dirty. The food was ok at manager’s reception, breakfast didn’t have many choices. No frills at this hotel. I would not stay there again. For the same price I would find a better hotel."

"I had to travel to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, for a week.and was given the name of the hotel as one choice close to the clinics I had to visit by the concierge service. It is connected via indoor skyway to the main outpatient Mayo campus, including the Gonda building. The parking was very easy with direct acess to the hotel at the skyway level in the parking garage. The hotel is modern, central to downtown, and has a fantastic, upscale onsite restaurant called Crave. Check-in was fast, friendly, efficient, and they hooked me up with pre-paid parking garage access via a barcode sent to my phone. Flash the barcoad and you're in and out at your leisure. The room was impressively clean and confortable - definitely surpassing my expectations - containing a mini-fridge (but no microwave). The TV had probably more channels than I've seen at even the best hotels I've stayed at before. The room layout was comfortable with plenty of storage and a small sofa. Comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but efficiently laid out, with a large counter and plenty of room for all toiletries. The shower was bright, extra clean with a detachable shower head - its only weakness being low water pressure due to the water - saving design. Overall, though, considering amenities, location, and price point, this property will not disappoint and I would recomnend without any reservation."

"We have been going to mayo clinic for a long time and always stay at centerstone. Its ny 2nd home. Just kidden. Its the staff that make centerstone. Miss Darrell the shuttle drive. New drivers should have learned from hime. One did he is good the rest get one star."

"This was our second time staying at this hotel. We were pleasantly impressed by the staff's friendliness, the cleanliness of the rooms and property as a whole, and just the whole place in general. Unfortunately, doe to Mayo procedures, I've never been able to partake of the breakfast but it is your basic, continental breakfast and looks fresh and good. 24 hour coffee in the lobby is nice for us caffeine junkies. There has also always been bananas out in the lobby. Overall, it is a very nice experience. My only "complaint" is that there are no king rooms so the wife and i just get 2 queens cause we like our space."

"Pulling up, I was concerned with the location and appearance. It's in a mall parking lot and has a dated, 80s style construction. The lobby was clean and pretty. We weren't there for an event but the event center was beautiful. There was one person on staff and check in was incredibly slow. Someone cut in as I was about halfway through being checked in and he was asking for a room key to preview rooms and to walk around the pool area. The girl at the desk was very nice- too nice to ask him to step aside, so I eventually had to firmly say that we needed to finish checking in. The man apologized and moved out of my way. I was holding a baby and had heavy bags... it was an uncomfortable experience. Our room was dark and dirty. There were fresh spills on the bedding, stains, a dirty sink, unswept tile, lots and lots of bubbling paint/finishes (I understand that happens in rooms near pools, but take pride in your maintenance), hair and crumbs everywhere. The cleaning staff were no longer present, so the nice girl from the desk, between doing every other hotel task alone, found us another poolside room that was cleaner. Being in Rochester for a medical visit, we're used to better overall facilities. The pool area is the draw but it's shocking to me that people rate the place well overall. Even our cleaner, brighter room had hair and crumbs. People were having sx in the hottub. Loud phone convos in the halls overnight. Severely understaffed. Breakfast redeemed it a little."

"Usually exceptional. Best thing about staying at the Kahler is that when something is not up to expectation, the staff go above and beyond to make it right. And that is what makes all the difference. I will continue to recommend this hotel."
