This is an aesthetically pretty property. The pool area and beach setup is nice with a tiny bar right on the beach. I stayed for only one night because it is closer to the airport than Dakar is.

Beautiful area on the beach. Grounds are so nice and the pool is great too. Beach is lively in the evening/late afternoon and very quiet during the day. A really wonderful resort. Staff are so helpful and polite.

This hotel is a gem. Beautiful setting, great beach and pool, friendly staff. A special mention to Bala and Pape for making this stay unforgettable. The rooms could use a little maintenance but that is only a detail. I can strongly recommend as I will definitely return.

I have been staying at the Royam for work travel since 2012. It never disappoints. The staff are warm and friendly. The food just keeps getting better and better. The landscaping is immaculate and beautiful. If the Royam isn't available, I move my work travel dates. It is world-class.

Me and my wife had a really bad food poisoning from the hotels restaurant, two days destroyed, no sleep and a lot of pain. The hotel accepted their fault but didn’t even compensate the doctors invoice. They offered us a free Coca-Cola … I could only laugh

Cats drinking out of the swimming pool

I really wish I could give a better rating but the fact cats are just allowed to roam around at dinner time and also drink out of the swimming pool really put me off as its highly unclean as these are not pet cats & can carry disease. The beach is nice and staff are attentive & get a free welcome drink on arrival. Rooms are ok and a good size. The lady in the gift shop was rude & kept following me around as if I was going to steal. I actually questioned her on it as it was everytime. Seafood buffet on Tuesdays & breakfast was nice but set menu is incredibly bland and tasteless

Retour sur notre séjour de 5 jours

L'hôtel est magnifique et le jardin est vraiment très beau bravo aux jardiniers ! Nous avions réservé 2 bungalows qui étaient le 14 et le 15, très grands et très propres et le lit était très confortables. Par contre nous avions 2 ados et nous aurions préféré avoir une chambre double et 1 chambre twin. On nous a donné 2 doubles. Les animations étaient supers le soir bravo pour le choix des groupes de musique. On a bien aimé le buffet et le repas du dimanche soir à la carte. De part son emplacement notre bungalow 14 était très bruyant car il y avait beaucoup de passage + le groupe des assurances pendant notre séjour...Seul bémol on avait demandé une nuit supplémentaire lors du check in. On a appris par la suite que finalement il y avait de la disponibilité dû à des annulations c'est dommage on aurait pu prolonger au lieu d'aller au Neptune. Super garde sur la plage il est très discret mais bien présent si besoin.

Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent hôtel avec une belle plage et une piscine qui s'est améliorée au fil des ans. Mais je dirais que les pièces sont sombres - les fenêtres sont très limitées avec une structure en ciment à motifs au-dessus de la fenêtre - quand on est sur la plage, vous voulez des fenêtres du sol au plafond et des portes coulissantes. Deuxièmement, l'exercice L'équipement est très limité et vieux et fonctionne à peine. Enfin, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'offres pour les végétariens à l'heure du dîner.

L'hôtel Royam est bien situé sur la plage de Saly à proximité du centre (15 min à pied par la plage). Belle prestation restauration tant sur la qualité de la nourriture que sur le service : restau sur la plage sympa, petit déjeuner bon et varié. Nous avons eu une soirée sénégalaise le 1er soir avec un barbecue et un spectacle de danse. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres et avons eu un surclassement pour l'une d'entre elles. Celle du rdc était assez sombre. La literie est confortable. L'hôtel propose qlq animations.
