We loved our stay but we were glad we took our all-wheel-drive vehicle, as approximately the last six miles leading to the cabin were gravel roads full of large pot holes and washed out ruts. The driveway leading down to the house is rather steep (I estimate it is about a 6-8% grade) and is made of loose, crushed stone aggregate.
We found this property lacked many of the stocked items (smaller dishes, utensils, glasses, cups) which we are accustomed to find in the properties we rent.
This property is perfect for a group who plans on spending all of their time at the property; access to the creek is decent, the outside covered living area is FANTASTIC, and their grill is brand new! However, if you plan on eating out every night, the closest restaurants are in McCaysville (a 20 minute drive), are open only five days a week and many only for breakfast and lunch. Blue Ridge is a 35 minute drive.
