A Family Tradition

We have now had 4 family gatherings at this wonderful home. This spacious log cabin continues to meet everyone's expectations and we have already booked dates for our next gathering in 2026.

Annual family reunion

Great stay!

We always enjoy staying at this cabin in McCloud! There is plenty of room for friends or family with a large kitchen, dining and family room for cooking and socializing. The house is one block to Main Street with shops and restaurants. We hope to return next year for another visit.

We enjoyed this large, comfortable house. It’s walking distance to the (small) downtown and convenient to outdoor activities. Recommended!

Perfect place for a family reunion

Although we were only two couples in our group, we all agreed this would be the perfect place for a family reunion. So many outdoor seating areas. Large great room. Owners were very quick to answer questions. Extremely comfortable beds with nice linens. We will stay there again.

Great McCloud location!

My family had a great stay at this cabin! We loved being so close to downtown McCloud. The layout worked well for kids and adults. There were lots of games and books available. We also were able to get ahold of the hosts during our stay and they were very responsive.

We had a wonderful time in Mccloud. The house is perfectly set back but close enough to a quaint downtown area. We felt right at home and it was perfect for kids and adults alike. Will definitely come back here next time

30th year fishing vacation

Enjoyed our 30th year McCloud fishing trip with buddies that work for similar volunteer assignments in the summers and always enjoy a week or so fishing and visiting. We really enjoy the Smith's house. Booking for next year already.

Amazing home in a beautiful area

We loved staying here. The area is beautiful. Very close to town and not too far from Mt Shasta. There is a sledding hill very close by the kids loved. The home itself was very cool. We had three generations of families, 8 adults, 5 children and a dog and there was plenty of space for everyone. We will definitely stay here again.

A 5 Star home!!!

We love your unique and lovely log home! We have enjoyed your home for many years, and it is perfect for a fun and wonderful woman’s retreat. We did leave a couple notes of very small concerns and did run out of firewood.

Perfect house, perfect location and great hosts

The house was beautiful and big enough for 10 people to stay comfortably. The kids played outside and could be kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Having 4 bathrooms was great with that many people. I will say the bathrooms were unique. They transformed closets into bathrooms. It worked out perfect. Check in was smooth. The location was perfect. Close to McCloud and the ski area. My grandson wants us to go back next year. It has something for everyone.

Perfect Family Reunion Home

Our family gathered to celebrate the life of our Dad. He lived in and loved McCloud. It was a perfect home for our family. Very welcoming. Very well stocked. Very clean. Very comfortable. We had a blast from the moment we checked in. The volleyball net and loft/game area kept the grandkids occupied and happy. We all gathered on the deck, grilled and enjoyed every moment. We will be back. Check in and out was a breeze. Communication was great. Highly recommend this property.

Plenty of room

There were 8 of us attending a family reunion and not only was there plenty of room and rooms, but bathroom facilities were more than adequate. The house was stocked with games for the gathering, I won at UNO! Best of all it is an easy walk to McCloud's downtown area and the setting of the house with towering pines is shady and restful. Just across the way is the original hospital, all boarded up, but definitely historical that some of old timers were born in or at least had some great stories of sprains, burns and breaks from our childhood. Thank you for offering such a lovely home for the out of towners. Going to have to return another season to experience some snow on the ground.

Wintry birthday weekend

Amazing property and close proximity to the historic downtown and McCloud hotel. We enjoyed the amazing stone fireplace and there was ample firewood to keep the Great Room warm and cozy. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the TV working but didn’t really need it. All the rooms had comfortable beds and the hallway bathroom I used had a shower with great water pressure. Richard and Alexa were amazing hosts before and during our stay. They even allowed us to stay past our check-out time which helped us time our departure between storms. We even had a snowplow come through and plow the driveway just before we had to leave. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend with family. We hope to return in the summer to enjoy all the hiking and waterfalls Thank you Richard and Alexa
