"Good breakfast--loved the oatmeal and toppings. Nice to have body lotion in room. Would be nice to have a microwave in addition to the frig that was there. Also, no coffee pot in the room. No bath map but did have a secure grab bar."

"This hotel is in VERY rough shape. It needs a complete renovation. Hot water is hard to come by in the room, each room smells damp, the bathroom has chipped paint on every surface. Every floor is carpeted and covered in stains. Despite this, the staff is very nice and housekeeping did what they could to keep the rooms clean. I was very disappointed in my stay and would caution travelers who are used to Marriott properties that this does not meet their normal standards and should be avoided."

"we were put in a room in the old side of the hotel, so our only window was small and 20 feet up, towels are clearly not washed well as one of the “clean” ones had small hairs stuck in it, and there was no fan or window in the bathroom. our keys also stopped working randomly halfway through our stay but staff was helpful. overall fine if all you need is a room"

"Great four days & nights during JazzFest at The Westin. Upgraded river-view room was spacious & comfy. Breakfast was enormous & perfect for days of hiking through the French Quarter and The Garden District or the Fairgrounds. Special shout-outs to concierges Daisy & Roxanne! Their suggestions for transportation and activities were spot on & very appreciated! Thank you! Places to eat: Arnaud's Jazz Bistro (have the turtle soup or the smoked pompano bourgeois to start and the bananas foster to finish!) Coquette (try the whipped feta & the fried puppy drum after a turbo lover cocktail!) Peche - we had Gumbo! You should too! The bar at the hotel is a scene and a great place to catch your breath between adventures. Safe travels!"
