Fun filled adventures!

The house was the perfect place to creat some fun family filled memories. The house was a wonderful adventure its self with beautiful decor and set up. Great location to other activities on the mountain. Peaceful and cozy all around!

Fun Little Cabin

We enjoyed our time at the NutHause. It was a wee bit small for 6 people, though. 4 would have been perfect.The owner was very flexible when we had to make a few changes to our reservation, for which were quite thankful.We loved all the windows, and sitting on the deck.

JMU graduation

Great 3 night stay for my son’s graduation from JMU. Perfect size for 5 of us. Very cute and unique octagon cabin. Had everything we needed. Just like the pics. Would stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

This place was a wonderful weekend getaway option. The house was very clean and I loved the way the owners decorated this house. It was what drew me to want to book here. There were many activities nearby, and the hot tub was definitely a bonus! 10/10 would recommend for 2-3 people.

Quick getaway from home

This was a cozy little property. Probably best for 3-4 people or less. Convenient to Massanutten pools, water park, fitness center and other attractions. I wish the resort area had more areas to walk. We tried a short nature trail near the playground, but was hoping for more walking/hiking areas down lower rather then the more advanced ones at the top of the mountain.

JMU Graduation

The Nut Haus lived up to its name! We had a fun weekend celebrating our new graduate. We prefer to stay away from the hustle and bustle near campus and this was the perfect mountain retreat 25 minutes away. It’s every bit as cozy and charming as the listing describes.

We were very disappointed with this property...we swept the deck & sidewalks on arrival. Our dog chased a ball under the sofa...came out covered in dust bunnies. MBR mattress was very lumpy...had to turn it to sleep. No welcome info to tell us how to work the remotes for lights & fans, or how to get swimming pool passes. No dishwasher, 2 coffee cups (really?). AC, hot tub & Keurig coffee maker worked great. Charming appearance/architecture with lots of potential. Needs attention!

We enjoyed our stay

The Nut Haus was in a perfect location with lots of activities and nearby sights to see. We ate at Hank’s and loved it. And enjoyed the access to the resort pools. We were a little disappointed to discover that the dishes in the cabinets were soiled. But glad that there was soap provided so we could wash them before using them. Both mattresses seemed to be set at an angle which put our heads lower than our feet, which felt awkward. And the hot tub had a white layer of scum along the tub that turned my black bathing suit white. For those reasons we are not giving it 5 stars. Everything else about our stay was great.

Over all stay

It was good over all but the under the pull out bed and the bed was drity and trash underneath. The deck railing need to be fixed very lose and screws are coming out .we had to go out and buy hornet's spray they were every where outside and two got in the house.

Jmu Family Weekend in the Treehouse

We wanted to stay in a house close by JMU with our dogs so that our daughter could visit with us instead of a hotel. Price was better than the hotels! I called it the treehouse because it felt like we’re sleeping in a treehouse. Round with floor to ceiling windows all around! Clean, quaint but perfect for family of 4 with dogs. Wish we had a couple younger kids that would have enjoyed the basement. Nice quiet neighborhood watching wildlife off the porch around the fire pit was a plus!!! Would love to come again.

Needs some attention to outdoor spaces . I believe gutters may need cleaning as when it rained water came out over gutters . Back deck had small debris and spider webs. Inside was clean and no issues. Sliding door off kitchen was difficult to open and close.

Awesome Cabin

The Nut Haus is a fun cabin with tons of character. The location is close to all of the activities Massanutten has to offer, but is well equipped for entertainment if you're feeling like a night in. My son didn't want to leave!
