Stayed here on a short snowboarding trip with my kids. House was very comfortable and in a great location close to wisp. Very clean inside and comfortable furniture and beds. We will definitely book again here.

Perfect Snow Day

We booked as soon as we saw the forecast for 12 inches of snow. Easy reservation process, simple check-in, and the property and parking area were well-kept. Definitely needed 4WD to get up the hill. Loved the wood fireplace!

Great weekend getaway

Stella's retreat is a great place to stay. It is spacious, comfortable, very clean, and well kept. The living area and backyard deck with the hot tub are a great place to relax and enjoy with family and friends. Location is great, near Wisp and its slopes, as well as the water. For both summer or winter escapades, I would highly recommend Stella's retreat.

Great Dog Friendly Ski in/Ski out Townhouse

Stella's Retreat is a great townhouse located right on the slopes. It was very clean, well-kept and cozy. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a day on the slopes. I really appreciate that it is dog friendly as well. We like to take our pups on vacation whenever possible. Highly recommend!

Not as clean as i would like

Bedding needs cleaned better. There were short black hairs on all pillow cases and sheets, (assuming it’s where it is a pet friendly place. The bathroom floor downstairs needed swept as well. Other wise, it was a great place to stay. We enjoyed the location and everything else about the place was great!

Ski in / Ski out and hot tub

Location for ski in/ski out was ideal. Tons of snow before our trip, so this option was available. Just make sure that particular trail next to the place is open if this is important to you. It still is a great location as it's only a couple minute drive to main lodge if you can not take advantage of the ski in/ski out. Place was okay. A little bit of updates and maintenance can go a long way for this unit. I wasn't expecting too much based off of other reviews before booking. However, for our ski trip with kids, it was perfect. The hot tub on deck was used more than I expected. If

Stella’s Townhome

Loved the property: convenient to slopes, beautifully decorated, & lots of amenities. Property management swore that the 2.5” square, 8” thick slab of ice was not there when we arrived. So I sent them photos of it, along with the clear entry to units on both sides. The last response I received from property mgt was: we will get back to you - never got back. So I purchased an ice shovel & spent an hour breaking it up myself - I’m 76.

Quick Getaway

Stella's Retreat was nice. We came from DC to go skiing but we were a week too early. The house was spacious for our two teens to have their own space. My daughter slept upstairs in her room and my son slept downstairs. We did not get a chance to enjoy the hot tub however, we were able to grill. I enjoyed the heat lamp in the bathroom especially because I'm not a huge fan of taking hot showers. We will come back!

Disgusting hot tub. Smelly, slimy and cloudy water

Misadvertised. Cleanliness of unit was just ok. Bedrooms and bathrooms good. However it didnt look like main living area vacuumed. Empty water bottle and food on floor. Hot tub listed as an amenity but it was filthy. Terrible odor. Reported it to Vacasa and was told someone would come out. They never did…poor customer service. House did have a great location.

Great Ski in/Ski out

This was our first time staying in a ski in/ski out and our kids first time on the slopes and we can't wait to go back! Stella's Retreat was well appointed, and comfortable. We had everything we need to cook all of our meals in the townhouse and be comfortable when not on the slopes. The beds and furnishings were comfortable, and all the rooms were a good size. A quick note if you aren't familiar with Wisp's slopes. Down Under, which you use to access to townhome is a blue square. Our kids were first time snowboarders and after the 2nd day, could board into the townhome, but we were only comfortable with letting one of our three ski out as the bottom of Down Under was significantly steeper and the conditions were rough due to being late in the season. Even though we couldn't use the townhome as a full ski in/ski out, the location couldn't be beat and we would definitely do it again. Having just a 4 minute drive to the bottom of the slope and three available drivers, made it really easy for everyone to be at the home when they needed a break.

Not bad but not great

Aside from the grill not working because of it not being cleaned properly and the broken mirror and TV issues on the rainy days, it was a nice place to stay. The house was clean and the hot tub was amazing!

Just ok…

My husband and I needed a place to stay and remote work while our kids were at summer camp at Frostburg. The townhouse attached to us was having major construction the entire time we were there. Starting at 645am… The pictures are outdated. The living room and back deck have changed. The back deck has a hot tub (which you pay a fee for in the summer!). Make sure to look at the fees. I think we were charged two booking fees (vrbo and vacasa) Overall just ok
