"Exceptional"

"This is about the only option for reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable lodging in Sao Tome. The location is not ideal for walking and the rooms are bare boned. Be sure to organize breakfast plans in advance. It looks like a buffet, but it’s only for those who have reserved it. All in all it’s not a bad choice for those who don’t want to pay resort prices."

"Pros: Room is very spacious and clean. Common areas also nice and generally I enjoyed a quiet atmosphere. Staff is nice, food is good. Cons: They did not honor the complementary airport transfer that is announced on line, they arranged a private taxi that charged me 20 US Dollars (for a 4 minute ride). The quality of bed linens and towels is not great, they should improve them. The one day I used the pool, which is big and pretty, the water was not clean. "

"stayed here for 3 nights. during my stay, electricity and wifi only worked 40% the time. the third and last night i stayed, there was no water- no running water to boil, no shower and no toilet flush. the corner room i stayed in gets very loud at night and early mornings so bring earplugs. it can get pretty uncomfortable at night if the electricity is down as their backup generator doesn't cover the fan or wifi. the airport shuttle surcharge is 10€ or 250 dobras each way. despite what is...

"On my last night, I was locked out and couldn't open the outside door to enter the hotel. I tried to contact the hotel using the phone number provided on Expedia, but it wasn't updated. As a result, I had to stay at a friend's house for the night."

I wasn’t provided with any contact details for checking in with the host. I emailed the host to inquire about how to access the flat, but the only response I received was a question about who I booked with. As a result, I had to pay for alternative accommodation since I wouldn’t have had anywhere to sleep or stay. "
