The rooms are fine. It's quiet. Clean. Safe. It's a motel style property. Beds are very comfy. Staff are very nice. It's a great place to stay if you are attending a function at the Sandown Park Hotel and don't want to drive home afterwards - which was what I was doing.
This was the kindest, friendliest, smoothest check in I have ever had. Rooms are new, very clean. Great stay considering we were staying there for a funeral which was across the road. Room was dark and didn't hear any traffic great stay, thank you.
Comfortable and suitable for a night or two. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The only problem I had was that there was a step down when getting into the shower which I didn’t realise so almost tripped over towards the taps, needs a warning strip or something similar to warn there’s a step there
Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Parking was easy and the area was safe. Bar and bistro staff were friendly and efficient. Not a big issue but there could have been more vegetarian options on the bistro menu. Shops and the train station were an easy drive from the motel. Very good value for the room rate.
Was not warned beforehand that renovation was taking place at the time. The tv didn’t work and the shower dripped all night.
Would not stay there again. Did not feel safe as lone female traveller
The only positive things about the hotel were that it was within walking distance of the Springvale Cemetery (a visit to which was the purpose of our trip), and the free wifi.
The owners are in the process of renovating the motel units, so there were workmen using drills and saws from 7.30am Saturday morning.
It was hard initially to find where the motel rooms were, and then there was no-one in the office so I had to go to the hotel gaming room to check in.
The unit we occupied was basic, and the complimentary continental breakfast was very basic. There was also no option to have a cooked breakfast, with the hotel not opening until 10am.
The hotel did, however, have a good menu for lunch and dinner, with reasonably priced seniors' specials, and a discount for seniors card holders.
Perfect place to lay our heads when we were working in the area

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room was absolutely nothing like the photos on the website which showed clean, bright, modern rooms. Walls were filthy with large sections of peeled paint. Room stank when I arrived. Wardrobe was missing slats. Poor lighting. Cleaner knocked on door and immediately let herself in before I could answer before checkout time, I’d literally just finished dressing and there were no do not disturb signs.
