Awesome property. Great location. Please note that you are required to upload a licence and a full face scan to an uncontrolled 3rd party for ‘verification’. Pets are frequent so I would pass if you have pet allergies.

Excellent for a weekend getaway stay!

What an excellent surprise. Clean, spacious and very modern, with a nice view across Richmond and city views to the west, everything fell into place. Parking was a breeze, key coded doors made it all too easy (to not lock yourself out!). Location was great, with a short walk to lots of restaurants. Highest recommendation!!

Near new apartment was perfect for our week long stay. Very clean with super comfortable bed. Would stay again but would request a front of building apartment for a better outlook. The balcony looked on to an empty cold con treat building and dead garden below, wasn't appealing. The bathroom towels were super tiny and not suitable for adults. Need to be bigger bathroom towels.

What a stunning property! Brand new, super clean, full two-bedroom two-bathroom full-kitchen apartment with everything you would need right in the heart of Richmond (but also super quiet with no road noise despite being on the street). Booked one bedroom and was upgraded to two bedroom, plus offered free secure basement parking.

Overall very good. Comfortable and well fitted apartment, very clean, good location. Missing a couple of useful things like tea towels and a dish rack. Also, the model for this place is to have no staff on site, and call centre staff seemed unfamiliar with the specific site. Lacks the flexibility you would get with a hotel e.g. late checkout, luggage storage, etc.

What was good: * Spacious apartment - plenty of room for luggage & clothes for a longer stay * Well-appointed - has probably all the kitchen utensils you'll need, plus the number of clothes hangers provided was unusually high and very appreciated. * In-unit washer & dryer (single unit). * Great location being close to Richmond but far enough away to avoid most of the pedestrian noise late at night. I like staying in East Richmond because it's easy to access the city via public transit and Richmond has plenty of bars & restaurants. * Self parking in an underground garage is a great extra for free. What was not so good: * I didn't see any laundry powder provided - it would have been nice to have a few satchels thrown in. * The provided kitchen trash bags were weak and made disposing of the trash more annoying than it needed to be. * Being right on Swan St, morning rush hour traffic noise is loud. Not much to be done about this - looks like the windows are double glazed already - so just something to be aware of for the location. I was a little concerned about the check-in process based on another review, but I found it to be very easy. If you follow the online check-in procedure before arrival, the instructions are very clear, and you can quickly reach your apartment - much faster than a traditional hotel. All in all, for the price, Urban Rest is an excellent apartment hotel, especially suited for longer stays.

Stayed for a week. Everything very nice except for the towels which were not a lot bigger than tea towels, hard and scratchy. Asked for replacement towels toward the end of our stay. The replacement towels were much better!

Worst check in experience ever

Urban Rest’s check in experience is diabolical. Im literally outside the apartment, they have my ID, and they refused to let me in until I filled out some form that collected some marketing information, and resubmitted my ID. Just terrible service. Would not recommend

Be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes checking in

The apartments are great. Unfortunately their check-in experience is terrible. Three weeks in a row - checkin has taken between 30 and 60 minutes. It has 3 verification steps - with email codes, finding the expedia checkin code from a historic email, then sending the front and back of your drivers license to an offshore website (is this even legal? I don’t think it is). The last step will fail if you have a pop-up blocker on your browser, so then you have to call support. Often you have to leave a message and wait for a call back. You get the idea. They survive because the apartments are good… but after my third checkin taking nearly an hour I’m done with em.
