Avoid this nasty house
This home is situated in a neighborhood of burned out houses just to start. We arrived to the neighbors dogs running at us and he greeting us with “hey” as he ran to the street to make a transaction. The driveway is a navigation nightmare. The front yard has a large clay planter that has been smashed and sitting there for quite sometime. You have to wrestle the door to open the unit to be greeted with the smell of cat urine. The rugs are filthy, the refrigerator was wiped out, the windows had cat snot on them to where you couldn’t see out them. The bathroom had feces remnants next to the toilet. Cob webs galore. The vents are so caked with dust and filth that you would be concerned they could fall out of the ceiling. The flooring was a tripping hazard and the kitchen floor was so soft from rot that you could bounce. The coffee maker is one from an old motel. I attempted to reach out to the property owner and he wanted to send over cleaning crew. This was something that could not be solved in a short visit from his cleaning crew. Mentioned the windows and his response is it’s a 100 year old house and some do not open. SAFETY HAZARD. My sister is extremely allergic to cats and we had to vacant the home. We also had my mother who has stage 4 bone cancer and this home was not safe for her. I also reached out to vrbo and could not be more disappointed in how they have handled this situation. We provided photos, videos and detailed account. Just shameful all around. AVOID THIS HOME!!! You will not be safe!!!!!!
