We stayed to celebrate a coworkers retirement. The staff is great!! Very friendly. The rooms are on the small side but they are cozy. I am so happy that we chose to stay here!!! I would love to see it in the summer as it looks like a great spot to hang out by the beach!!

Beautiful view of the lake with a nice Sandy beach. The property manager was friendly and a very hard worker. She clearly appreciates her job and her customers. We enjoyed our stay.

Classic 1960's small town motel. Very clean. Very comfortable. Very up to date amenities. And excellent service. I forgot my iPad there and they found it within 5 minutes of my calling and mailed it back to me, gratis!!

We stayed here for only two nights. It was very quiet and has some nice options to recreate such as canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the resort’s beach. The staff was very attentive.

The motel was a pleasant surprise. It was nice to find something on a lake in this price range. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of pressure. The staff (owner I think) was very personable. The only concern is there was a very loud person in the room next to me and I could actually make out what they were saying. Fortunately they quieted down before I went to bed.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! We spent 1 night here while attending a music festival. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful; the room was super clean, and the beach was beautiful! Some reviews say the place is dated, and it certainly is, but I think it adds to the overall ambiance!! I loved it and will definitely stay there again!

Very sweet vintage motel with quite a few updates. Great walk-in shower, comfy bed. Clean as a whistle as far as I could tell. I got there a few minutes after 9, when the office closes and the front desk person was still there and was kind about my delay. Check-in was a matter of giving me a key (yep, a real brass key just like in the old days). Everything about my stay was low-stress and comfortable. I would stay there again — and I'm sure I will.

The room was very clean with nice flooring and a well stocked bathroom. Desk clerk was personable and helpful. The lakeside was pretty and accessible. Additional dining in Park Rapids was only 15 minutes away.

Very attentive manager. Makes you feel welcome from the first second. Property sits on the spirit lake with beach and boating access. Guests very sociable so makes for a fun stay.

This was easily the best motel I’ve stayed at during my cycling trip across Minnesota. As motels go, it was average. But the owners have made an extra effort to make it nice and the location is absolutely superb. I could walk out of my room and in 40 feet be sitting on the beach in front of a lovely lake.

Awesome!
I always get apprehensive when I think of "motel" . I normally wouldn't ever stay. BUT this motel is a hidden gem! So clean, modern feel, comfortable, next to a beautiful lake. Owners truly care about their motel and rooms! Friendly ! Would definitely stay again if I come this way again!

I was pleasantly surprised with the service and ease of check in. The room was comfortable and clean and the shower was amazing! My only complaint is the walls are pretty thin so you can hear people in the adjoining rooms but that is to be expected. Will definitely recommend and be back!

I booked online, when I arrived, the office is closed for the winter but had a phone number to call. I call and got the voicemail. I waited 5-10 minutes and left. They never called back

I made the reservation four hours and then left to stay overnight so I could be at a morning appointment. I got to the hotel and the office was closed and the front desk was unmanned. There was a number for after hours checkin but no on answered. THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED and I somehow was sold a reservation

Nobody in office during business hours. They just left key in unlocked room but didn’t even tell me. Room smelled musty, lamps didn’t work, no return call or text for over 2 hours. Cold winter air coming in by AC, cracked walls and trim, room temp was set to 55 in winter. No wifi password readily available. Remote was gross.

Avoid Menahga at all costs.
Well. No one was here for check in. You had to call and they told you which room you had, which all were OPEN and the key was inside. Tiny, uncomfortable, no info about the area.
