Very happy to find a pet friendly place in Mendocino. The property and staff were lovely. Convenient location. Some of the space seems to be evolving but has lots of potential. The breakfast offerings were OK could do better on the savory side.

in general, it was great. we loved this hotel. But we were charged after leaving $9.71 unauthorized charge without any receipt. don't know why they charged us. no receipt no notification.

This place is beautiful! I think they are still renovating the parking area but it was not a bother. Very minimal noise coming from other guests opening or closing their doors. No microwave or iron but I can get by without these. There was a distinct smell in the room, could not figure out where it was coming from but I should have asked staff. Overall great stay here. Norma was very kind and helpful at the breakfast area. Thank you so much. Hope to be back sometime soon.

We had a great stay. Quiet, beautiful area a block away from shops and dining. The property was pristine and very nice rooms. The Continental breakfast was a step above the normal, especially the pastries and coffee from a local bakery. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Room was super clean, staff very friendly, I had no idea murder she wrote was filmed in this city and the actors stayed in in the hotel - they have a fun game you can play at the hotel to win a smore kit. The remodel is still happening, but did not impact our room or cause any issues, Pizza and food was good in the on site bar, I recommend the Brashuto and fig.

La propiedad está muy bonita , me encantó la vista hacia la playa . El lugar para caminar es excelente pasas un tiempo agradable conociendo el área . Lo que no me gustó y le doy un 0 de calificación es el desayuno . Es de lo más básico de lo básico que puedas encontrar en un hotel costo beneficio de lo que pagas por una habitación. Si tienes que subir a la terraza para ver la vista y disfrutar de tu café tienes que llevar tu plato de desayuno escueto que dan y tu tasa de café a la parte de arriba . Teniendo un salón y una terraza donde puedes tener el servicio de desayuno malo que dan en la parte arriba .

We had a wonderful stay at Hill House at Hirsh Trail in Mendocino. It’s pet-friendly and in a fantastic location, just a short walk from downtown, making it easy to explore the town. We loved our room—the design was beautiful, modern, and very comfortable. The complimentary happy hour from 4–5 p.m. was a delightful surprise, and the wine bar was a perfect place to relax in the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mendocino, and if we return, this will absolutely be where we stay again.

Our “Ocean View” room was actually mostly a “Parking Lot” view room. It seemed like we heard every door in the hotel slam between 6:00am and 8:00am. The included breakfast was very disappointing, pretty much yogurt, oranges, and pastries, probably the worst I’ve ever experienced.

This place is amazing! We had a great stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was so nice and so very helpful. The wine and treats they have for sale were perfect for a night in late. They just opened in June, so everything was new and done very well! Love all the little areas to sit and enjoy or just relax. The bikes were so cute and nice that they offer them. Our room was nicely done and very comfortable. They thought of everything. The breakfast was very good and fresh. Love that the hotel is so close to town to walk and enjoy the scenery. We will definitely be back to take advantage of all they have to offer. My favorite is the fire pits in the front of the hotel. Stunning and very comfy. Blankets are available to use and s'mores boxes are available to purchase. They thought of everything! Thank you for taking care of everything and can't wait to return!

We had a great stay overall. It’s a quick walk into town and a quick walk to the ocean to watch the sunset. The grounds are beautiful, although they weren’t done with renovations during our stay, so I’m sure they’ll be even better in a couple of months. The room was very clean with one exception: the shower. Particularly, a HUGE wad of hair was left on the drain and it was disgusting to remove. I also cut my foot on a nail that was sticking out of the carpet near where the carpet meets the tile. I did bleed but thankfully it was a fairly small cut; hurt like heck though. Overall the room was great and the details were well thought out. It was also quite peaceful during our stay because it seems to attract people who are seeking a calm weekend. We didn’t visit any of the common areas other than the lobby, but the lobby was lovely so I imagine the other common areas are as well.
