The hotel and staff were wonderful. Very nice breakfast included as well. The property also has bikes available. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It will a little bit of a walk to any of the tourist areas and that is the only reason I am not rating it a perfect 5. There was also great parking here. I would probably stay here again even though it is a bit far from all the local walking things we did just because it was so nice, clean and the staff were wonderful.

Pontos fortes : localização e simpatia do funcionário da recepção. Pontos fracos : a foto do quarto que está no hotéis.com e que eu reservei não correspondeu ao quarto que me foi dado. No dia seguinte após reclamações fui transferido de quarto para o quarto conforme a foto que consta na minha reserva. A explicação foi que são poucos quartos conforme a foto e fui alocado de acordo com a disponibilidade. O café da manhã é muito simples eu diria muito fraco mesmo. Ofereceram uma salada de frutas de uma única fruta ( maçã ) ou seja salada de maçã misturada com suco de laranja ( tenho foto) . Os pães são de baixa qualidade poucas opções para um hotel desse custo . O hotel está em reforma o 2º andar com cheiro forte de tinta e sem os rodapés nas paredes . O quarto 210 onde fiquei tem um bom tamanho é de frente mas o banheiro precisa de renovação e as cortinas da janelas estão bem sujas. De resto a atenção da funcionária da limpeza sempre disposta a ajudar. Minha opinião é que o hotel não vale o valor pago.

Never was mentioned that I was staying in VIP, no benefits, even I mentioned that my birthday was during my stay with them not even a benefit regarding my birthday celebration, the rooms need remodeling as soon as possible, curtains in bad condition supported by chippers, service at the front desk ok but nothing upstanding and superior, in other words I wuold not recommend the hotel.

Conveniently located suite hotel
Comfortable suites located in close proximity to Mendoza's best restaurants and plazas. We only stayed 1 night, but we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We visited during a very hot summer day and appreciated the air conditioning in the suites. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and friendly.

Overall not a great experience. Jacuzzi bubbles didn’t work. We had one of the worst rooms right on the street. It was very loud. The hotel at construction and bits of concrete flew in the air hitting us as we walked by. The hotel clerk either hated us or her job. She was very rude the entire time. Every question to her was an inconvenience. I wouldn’t stay here again. There are plenty of other places to stay.

We had a standard room, so no real view. Be aware that there is a window in the entrance lobby to the room which does NOT have a curtain (other than net) so it would be possible to see into the room from other rooms and on lighter days expect an early wake up. Buffet breakfast was excellent, wide range of food on option as long as you don't expect a Full English! Amazes me how many people travel abroad and complain about the 'local' breakfasts. Plenty of options here. Hotel booked a cab to the airport for us, 20 minute drive, less than £3.50! Good location, easy walking distance to the main areas of the city and close to restaurants. All areas seem to be very well lit at night.

The location is very good. Located in a quiet area, but only a short walk to many activities including parks, shopping, and places to eat/drink. The breakfast is basic as far as what someone in the USA would consider to be breakfast.

This property should be flagged for misleading photos and everything else. We paid for a suite overlooking the square with a balcony, and an extra room with a twin bed. What we got was a disgusting sofa and table in one room, an unusable kitchen, and a bedroom overlooking a parking lot with zero balcony. The sauna is advertised as open until 10; we went in at 9:00 after asking for towels. WE WERE LOCKED OUT AND LEFT IN THE COLD AT 9:45!!. They locked the doors on us. We had to break into a conference room and call the desk to have them let us out. They didn't even so much as apologize.

Clean, convenient hotel in Mendoza
We had a great time staying at El Portal Suites in Mendoza. They were very accommodating when we added a day to our reservation and were able to help us with recommendations for restaurants and good areas to explore. They were also able to help us with taxis though out last day was Father's day and they were not able to hep us with airport transport so it would be good to try to find drivers and arrange transport on holidays ahead of time. Overall great place to unwind and relax after a full day of wine tasting, horseback riding, or hiking :)

Overall good location, nice hotel, nice roof top tub to cool off and good staff, who spoke English very well. The kitchen was "non-equipped" to do anything but boil water and chill beer, water and wine. No pots, bowls, etc. Pretty useless in fact

The hotel has some nice features, but the room had disgusting carpets and it was untracked, the bathroom was dirty, everything in the room was old, it had a crazy strong smell (some sort of air freshener), and the sheets were dirty. The hotel roof patio was lovely, but the hot tub was not heated so we couldn't use it.

Good value in the center of Mendoza
El Portal is a great value. Terrific location. The condition of the rooms is really good. The bed is very comfortable. The hotel staff is wonderful and very helpful (all speak english). The only downsides are: the free breakfast is so-so and the kitchenette in the room thinly stocked (i.e. only one wine glass, very few utensils, like 1 dinner plate and 1 salad plate). We didn't eat much in the room except to reheat some leftovers and to have some cheese. However, you couldn't really cook a meal if you wanted to. Otherwise, it's a great hotel.

Almost perfect.
Perfect except several mornings there was fruit for breakfast. If you have a breakfast without any eggs or hot dishes you must at least have some fruit.
