Beautiful Cabin on Horseshoe Lake

Summary:
This is THE place to make your summer memories!  Surrounded by trees, gorgeous panoramic views of the lake and 250 feet of sugar sand beach give you everything you need for an incredible year-round getaway! A great cabin with lots of indoor and outdoor space for playing and entertaining. Boating, fishing, swimming or just sunning - lots to do on the lake! Enjoy the fire pit, the lake views and the smell of the surrounding timbers.

The Space:
A true up north cabin with plenty of nostalgic charm and character. 3 Bedrooms plus a sleep loft and 2 Bath, screened in porch, living and dining room offering lots of indoor space. Large fireplace in the living room. Freshly redone bedroom downstairs will have new furnishings featuring a Queen Bed. There is a dining area and sun room that would work well for card games.

Other Things to Note:
* All cancellations follow booking platform rules as outlined. Refunds do not include credit card processing fees, those are non-refundable.
* For non-Airbnb bookings, final charges will include credit card processing fee.
* This property allows a max of 2 dogs at a $50 fee per pet for the entire stay.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I grew up spending every summer at this cabin-my grandparents built it. The inside has been updated which is good. The outside has not been taken care of—both the land and cabin. The pictures of the outside are from another time. Very disappointing on many levels. The management company only communicates by email and you have no emergency contact.

A good week at the lake

The lake water clarity was great, we rented a pontoon and kayaks locally and had a great time in the water. The cabin had pretty much everything we needed, but the kitchen faucet did leak and although we notified the owner, it didn't get fixed while we were there. The pictures of the beach are misleading, as the beach is sandy, but a bunch of weeds lined the shore and it was not groomed as shown in pics and the diving platform shown was on shore and immoveable. The beds were comfortable and sleeping was good, except for the loft, which was quite warm, so we moved the kids down to the main level. The porch was great and we spent most of our indoor time there. The charcoal grill was not cleaned and I personally would prefer a nice gas grill. We did enjoy our week and there are lots of places to go and so things in the area.

Great Location

Nice, cozy cabin in the heart of lake country. The cabin was spacious and well stocked with just about everything you would need for a week on the lake. Nice beach area and close proximity to Nisswa and lots of golf courses. Would definitely recommend for families!

Great Lake, cabin needs work

We had multiple issues unfortunately with our rental. First, a surprise additional charge after we thought we had paid in full. Secondly, when we arrived the place was not cleaned very well. There were cob webs in the window, from the lamp to the fireplace, outside chairs were broken and scattered all over the yard so we had to put them all together again. The grill was filthy with the last renters fish still on the grill. The basement level had mold and mildew- which three of us in our group are highly allergic to mold so no one could sleep down in that bedroom. We notified the management company of the issues and they did not try to make it right or any compensation. The interaction with the property management was disappointing. The kitchen is missing some basic essentials that you would expect in a rental. The whole cabin had a smell to it so we had to burn candles the duration of the stay to help with the smell. All 7 of us in our group had to use just 1 bathroom due to the issues in the lower level. You have to provide everything at this cabin from wood, dish soap, charcoal, lighter,blow dryer,etc. On the positive- the lake was really nice and the beach was great. Overall, the cabin would have potential if they would fix, clean throughly and provide basics items. We would not rent this cabin again however.

Family Gathering at the lake

Wonderful place for three generations to call home base while enjoying the lake, playing yard games, biking in the area, and just relaxing and visiting. Hope to stay again next year!
